Eating Changes Us

Torah Parashah – Sh’mini / Eighth

Wayiqra/ Leviticus 9:1 – 11:47 RSTNE p 86

Eating Changes Us - Harbour Light Ministries

The Torah is a health book.

Today the Torah Parashah is very much about health.

Since it talks about what creatures we can and cannot eat.

This past week I read two books by Weston Price:

1.      “The Pathology of Dental Infections and Its Relation To General Diseases”

2.      “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration”

The short story.

Weston Price was a dentist who I think lost a son to a dental infection.

In the early 1900s He traveled all over the world studying people’s teeth.

He found that all the people groups who were eating their original foods…

            - Eskimos – mostly eat fish.

- A group of people in the mountains of Switzerland – not touched by anyone from “the outside” – ate goat and sheep cheese and milk, and rye grain.

He found people all over the world with the large dental arch

And no cavities.

But once you give people the European diet – of white flour and sugar – the next children born are impacted.

So if you have narrow nostrils and a small mouth – a small dental arch and cavities – is about your parent’s nutrition.

He found people groups who had couples who were engaged – start an even better/healthier diet – 6 months before the wedding and it lasted through childbearing years!

Bad nutrition of parents is seen

With the middle of the face narrow and somewhat or a lot, sunken, small dental arch, cavities, narrow nostrils, and club feet and smaller bodies and lower IQ!

What is more – signs of bad nutrition was TB!

He went to Tuberculous Hospitals – and found that every single patient had abnormal development of their face and dental arches!

And what is more – he didn’t get TB even though he had his hands in people’s mouths!

Turns out TB must be nutritional and not airborne!

Dr. Price also taught that you can heal dental infection and cavities!!

We haven’t heard that very much!

The recipe is:

Very high quality grass fed organic raw butter

Mixed with equal parts

Very high-vitamin cod liver oil.

He says you use a centrifuge to mix it…

I’m thinking a blender might work.

You eat ½ a teaspoon 3x per day with meals

He also supported eating mostly vegetables

And lots of milk and butter (which would have been RAW then)

And meat once per week. Low in starches and sugars.  The grains should be clean and whole.

The Infections book said that a dental infection you know is there – is not so much of a problem.

It needs fixed, but isn’t the problem that the infections you don’t know is there are.

Your teeth are connected to your organs and vertebrae etc.…

And it is very important that when someone’s personality changes

Like – grumpy or depressed or angry…

That they get checked for dental infection!

He reported that as soon as the person got the infection cleaned out they were instantly themselves again, without their negative symptoms they came in with.

He also talked about the butter/cod liver – healing infections.

Speaking of Cod Liver Oil.

Most of you have probably heard Dr. Monzo on vitamin D by now.

Stop taking it.

It is a hormone that is not good for you.

You feel better when you take it – but it HIDES infections and problems.

You need vitamin D from the sun.

If you need to take anything – take a high-quality cod-liver oil!

I don’t know about you,

But I am tired of being taught things that aren’t true at all.

I was listening to a Christian pastor teach about the shape of the earth – based on Hebrew!

And he taught what I have…

That it is about what the Word says!

And

The difference / what it means – if we are a tiny dot in a million billion universes – or if Yah is right here above us

And the Aurora is really the lights of His throne!

Acts 19:13-16 p 798

The 7 sons of Skeua, a Yahudi … they did exorcisms….

These guys were in to spiritual warfare… and they didn’t know Yah

So the demons jumped on them and they ran away, naked!

This is how believers do warfare… they mean well.

And they run out real fast – beat up and naked.

Proverbs 29:18

“Where there is no vision, the people do what is right in their own eyes, but he that guards the Torah, happy is he.”

The sons of Skeua were doing what they thought they should…. What was right in their own eyes.

And it didn’t end well.

They got beat up and ran away naked.

~

Do you see some similar things in this story as with Nadab and Abihu, who got burned up by Yah?

It’s about doing what Yahuah says we should – or not.

“Not” doesn’t end well what so ever.

Torah Parashah – Sh’mini / Eighth

Wayiqra/ Leviticus 9:1 – 11:47 RSTNE p 86

The Priestly Service of the Book of the Law and Levitical Priesthood begins.

This parashah opens with the Aharon offering a sin offering for himself and for the people.

In 9:23 – the offerings are going on… and

“And Moshe and Aharon went into the Tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the tifereth (glory) of Yahuah appeared to all the people!”

I find it interesting that:

9:24 “And there came a fire out from before Yahuah, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat.  When all the people saw, they shouted and fell on their faces.”

Clearly there is something supernatural happening here!

So then in chapter 10 we have the story of

Nadav and Avihu, - sons of Aharon.

Lev 10:1 “… and offered strange fire before Yahuah, which He commanded them not.”

And

10:2 “And there went out fire from Yahuah, and devoured them, and they died before Yahuah.”

What do you think their thinking was?

They had just seen fire from Yahuah come and burn up the offerings!

They probably didn’t say to themselves…

“Let’s see what we can get away with.”

Let’s do what we want … and forget about Yahuah”

-      You know, the source of the fire that just came and burned up the offerings!

They probably  thought –

“Oh, this would be a great idea.”

But, it wasn’t Yah’s.

And they were burned up on the spot.

And then Moshe tells everyone in there –

Aharon, his living sons,  -

That they aren’t allowed to grieve!

They can’t leave.

And then Yahuah tells Aharon that he can’t 10:9 “drink wine nor strong drink, you, not your sons with you, when you go into the Tabernacle of the congregation, lest you die: it shall be a chuk le-olam-vaed throughout your generations.

10 And that you may put a difference between that which is kadosh and defiled, and between unclean and clean.”

Interesting…

That clean and unclean and kadosh (holy) and defiled are so important – Yahuah sends fire and kills the priests in Yah’s Tabernacle that are defiling it.

And then Moshe has Aharon and his living sons making a grain offering and eating it… “without chametz beside the later for it is most kadosh.”

Chametz = the leaven…

-      A great pre- Chag haMatzah – or Feast of Unleavened Bread story!

-      Before we get the leaven out our homes for Pesach and Unleavened Bread.

Then in 10:16 Moshe is angry at his two living nephews – Elazar and Ithamar…. Because they didn’t eat the sin offering in the Kadosh-Place.

By the end of the chapter, Aharon has calmed Moshe down and he is “content.”

Wayiqra 11 – the food instructions.

We are in the Book of the Law – so why do we keep these instructions?

Because we know that Noah and others knew about clean and unclean animals –

As they took 2 pair of unclean and 7 pair of clean animals into the ark!

So Wayiqra 11 is not teaching new – it is actually recording what man had known all along.

What can we eat?

Wayiqra 11:3

“Whatever splits the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud, among the living creatures, that shall you eat.”

Wayiqra 11:9

“These shall you eat of all that are in the mayim (waters):  whatever had fins AND scales in the mayim, in the seas, and in the rivers, those shall you eat.”

What is more

In 11:10-12 – the things you aren’t supposed to eat are abomination.

11:13-19 are all about not eating the birds that eat carrion.

11:20 All flying insects, creeping upon all fours, shall be an abomination to you.”

11:21 “Yest these may you eat of every flying creeping thing that goes upon all fours, which have legs above their feet, to lean with upon the earth.”

22 “Even these of them you may eat; the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the beetle after its kind, the grasshopper after its kind.

23 But all other flying creeping things, which hav four feet, shall be an abomination to you.”

Everything that touches the carcass of the unclean things – is unclean.

Even to the point of breaking the clay pots they fall into.

11:45 “For I am Yahuah that brings you up out of the land of Mitzrayim, to be your Alohiym: You shall therefor be kadosh as I am kadosh!”

Mark 7:8–23

In verse 19

“Because it enters not into his leb, but into his stomach, and then is thrown out through the intestines, thereby purifying the food.”

Notice – they are talking about FOOD.

Those who understand Torah – do not consider the things that Yah said not to eat – as FOOD.

Yahusha isn’t reversing the Torah instructions about what to eat here….

He couldn’t do that and be the Messiah.

He is talking about keeping the traditions of men and not the instructions of Yah.

 What is more:

Acts 10: 9-29 p 788

Peter’s linen cloth vision …

In 10:28 Shaul tells us what this vision was about…

“But Yahuah  has shown me that I should not call any man common, unkosher or unclean.”

This is not about the food rules changing!

Something else to note –

Eating according to the Bible is not eating according to Kosher rules.

Kosher has some things right – that  pig is not kosher.

But kosher is consistently not organic and could have GMO.

GMO is a mixed thing and so therefore, does not fit in with Torah – the whole Bible

As Yah made it clear over and over that mixing seed is not okay!

Why is what you put in your body such a big deal??

Because it effects your whole self.

And if you spend much time at all – you can figure out that food is lifegiving.

Things that are not food – are in no way good for your body!

I Corinthians 6:19-20 p 855

“Do you not know that your body is the Beit HaMikdash of the Ruach Hakodesh which is in you, which you have from Yahuah, and you are not your own?

20 For you are bought with a price: therefore, bring tifereth to Yahuah in your body, and in your ruach, which are from Him.”

What keeps us clean and kadosh/ holy?

Keeping the instructions of Yahuah.
