Torah Portion Tzav - Journey 2 Freedom 1/2

Torah Parashah – Tzav – Give an Order (Command)

Wayiqra (Leviticus) 6:1 – 8:36 RSTNE p 84

Journey 2 Freedom (#1 of book 2)

The Living God does not agree with the negative things that have been said about you!

Torah Parashah – Tzav – Give an Order (Command)

Wayiqra (Leviticus) 6:1 – 8:36 RSTNE p 84

This Torah Parashah is the ordination of the Levitical priesthood.

The Torah of how the priests will deal with the

-burnt offering,

-the grain offering,

-the offering of Aharon and his sons,

-the sin offering,

-the guilt offering,

-shalom offering,

-wave offering,

- The fire on the altar should be kept burning.

-Moshe was instructed to wash the priests then

- in how to dress Aharon and

-in anointing Aharon,

-and how to dress Aharon’s sons.

Then  MARK the priests’  - right ear, right thumb, and right great toe.

Next -  the anointing of  Aharon and his sons with the oil,

-and they ate

-Then Yah commanded them to make blood atonement and then to “abide at the door of the Tabernacle for seven days and nights and guard (shawmer -keep) the charge of YHUH, that you do not die”

CHARGE = Strong’s H3941 = mismeret = guard, charge, function, obligation, service, watch, keeping preserving

Let’s look a bit at Journey 2 Freedom

Two weeks ago we went through book one’s last parts… the curses and ways to clean up our gifts.

I hope you did that or are working through that.

This week we start

book 2 “Fatherhood and Generational Blessings”

p 3

We are all created in the image of YHUH.

And let’s have a short rabbit trail here.

He created us to live eternally / immortally with Him.

People today have significant problems with trauma… especially around torture and around death.

And what we have to remember about this – No wonder it is traumatizing!

We were never meant to see death!

P 4

YHUH’s purpose for man is an irrevocable calling  - meaning Yah never takes it away!

Calling = klesis = to be called forth; an invitation

 Purpose  = chashab = to weave, interpenetrate, to fabricate.

                        = chephets = delight, care good pleasure, precious, what you desire

                        = prothesis = to set forth, make a proposal.

            = To reveal our redemptive gift/s.

P 6

Blessing

Amanda writes:

“The father declares these words over his family.”

Yes that is great if he does – but I don’t see YHUH making it just about fathers!

We are a kingdom of priests and in our home we should putting the Name of YHUH on each child, and declare their worth and purpose!

On page 7

“The role of the Father”

1.     To bless – baruch

2.     To kneel down before someone

3.     To empower to prosper

4.     To succeed in important things

5.     To have a pleasant, fulfilling journey

I am not sure scripturally that these aren’t the role of the mother as well!

P 9. Define a Father’s Mandate

            “The first father was placed on this earth and given a job.

“The word ‘tend’ in Hebrew is a lavdah!  The root word is avad and means ‘to work’.

P 13

Holy / Kadosh

1.     Totally dedicated to YHUH’s use and will

2.     Clean = T’hor

3.     Set apart royal priesthood, holy nation

4.     Kadosh = having our fragmented soul made whole, unity, and completeness

5.     Focused on life and peace, perfection and completion.

And let’s add

6.     Function / order – all Hebrew words that are positive – go back to function/order!

Common/ unholy/ “Chol”

1.     That which is conceived by man, that which gives man glory

2.     Unclean = tamei

3.     Anything that is manmade, self-effort, pleasing to the flesh.

4.     The explanation of this word defines it as : “Fragmented, incomplete  incapable of perfection or completion

5.     Fragmented, turmoil, and destruction

And let’s add:

6.     Dysfunction/ dis-order = all Hebrew words that are negative – go back to dysfunction dis-order.

P 14

“Man, when he introduces his own choice and self into the Garden, becomes fragmented and broken and in need of being made WHOLE.

They are chol – unholy and tamei unclean. As such they can no longer be allowed to stay in the Eden sanctuary.”

Recently I read another definition for SHALOM….

            We know it is the complete cutting off of chaos…

            But this also included – wholeness or function.

Adam failed to guard and allowed someone whose motives are for self and destruction into the Holy Place.

Messiah Himself teaches that the enemy sows tares while man sleeps.”

P 17 talks about a father that is not happy with the mother being pregnant and makes statements according to that dysfunctional state…

And of course, baby hears and knows.

On page 18 at the bottom, it says “That is an incredible authority the father carries.  When that new spirit in the womb is assessed as unacceptable to the father, the message of being unacceptable to God is inadvertently communicated!!”

But look at the last statement on page 17:

“It is crucial that you communicate to the person’s spirit that God did not enter into agreement with the statement made by the earthly father.”

This is crucial to understand that YHUH did not agree with anything negative that has ever been said about you from your whole life!!

~

The top of page 18

Says that “In the New Testament we are all presented as members of the Royal Priesthood – there is no gender differentiation.”

I just want to add here… because there is so much religion about man and woman.

According to Skip Moen’s teaching of Hebrew -

Male = zakar = the one who knows what YHUH says and does it

Female = nequabah = the leader, the teacher, the counselor, and the priest.

Also:

In looking at Genesis 2:18 talking about the ezer knegdo.

EZER = a name of a priest in Nehemiah 12:42

The ezer is the encourager, protector, spiritual director (priest), to help, protect, provide, nourish, a line of defense for the male

Back to page 18

The role of the priest is to determine the acceptability of man to Yah.

The example Amanda gives here is of a leper… had to go outside the camp because unclean.

            He gets healed – then he has to go through all the things the priest says… to be declared CLEAN.

A priest has “The authority to pass judgment, and the ability to make a person clean.”

And of course we know that the True Melchizedek High Priest – Yahusha has the authority to pass judgment.!!  J

 AND the authority to say “You are clean.  You are acceptable.  You are no longer alienated.  You are included again in the community.”

~~~~
Look at the bottom of page 18 – Amanda explains that what we know – when persons aren’t loved by their father – or have lack from their father … it is difficult for them to relate or even like Abba YHUH.
And this makes sense.
BUT –
I was learning a different technique to counsel this week… and I was supposed to be imagining that “either God the Father or Messiah was with me / talking with me.”
And this lady was surprised that I struggled with seeing “Jesus” beside me…
When all I could think was this is false and I want Yahusha!  So she changed the name she was using….
And I still couldn’t see Him.
So then she asked about Father…
What I soon figured out is – that I struggled to see them as separate – not ONE!
The Conflict Between the Greco-Roman understanding of Blessing and that of the Hebrew Thought Pattern
The first thing Amanda wrote in this section is
“The modern church has moved quickly to ‘claim’ the blessing of the Covenant.  They do so by faith while rejecting the responsibility of a life of obedience under the guidance of the Ruach haKodesh to the Torah / Word of YHUH.”
Greco-Roman mindset =  the principle of blessing as a means to a life of provision, wealth/ success.  – So it is:  “What can Yah do for me?”
And  - “my gifts and talents are for my use!”  “I am blessed so I can bless Yah’s work!”
Hebrew mindset =  (direct opposite) – “I am blessed so that I can serve YHUH!”
The blessing “isn’t an end goal or result but a means to achieve Yah’s purposes!”
“I have a mission to fulfill.
So, what is our mission if we have a Hebraic understanding?
1.     We are to be Son’s of Yah.
2.     Son’s will always be faithful to protect/ obey the Father’s House
Hebrews 3:1-6 p 815
“Many believers who think that the Old Testament (Tanach)  is “LAW”  will tell us that the Jews failed b/c of the ‘things” of the law!
Hebrews 3:15 p 815. “While  it is said, today if you will hear His voice, harden not your levavot (hearts), as in the rebellion.”
Amanda says “This tells us that the Isra’elites were never judged because they failed on various points of the Law, but because of a lack of faith.”
It is important to see that every time Isra’el was taken into slavery – “it was after time of serious idolatry/rebellion.”
Rebellion =  When “it’s about me.”
            And then I MUST realize that this means  my thinking is = “What will Yah do for me?!!”  - bless me, heal me, make me happy.”
Our MISSION:
Hebrews 3:1 p 815
“Therefore, kadosh Isra’elite brothers, partakes of the heavenly calling, consider the Sholiach and Kohen Gadol of our confession, the Moshiach Yahusha!
Deuteronomy 6:1-3
            This gives us some important things!
1.      Yah directed Moshes to teach the instructions/commandments
2.     Yah wants us to do them and be watchful over Yah’s instructions
3.     We must always work towards a generational legacy (IE blessing)
4.     My focus should be on the NEXT generations!
5.     We must listen /obey and observe Yah’s Words and work diligently so that we can increase mightily (blessings) in the land that Yah gives us.”
Page 22
Our Purpose
Greek
1.     I believe in YHUH
2.     I profess faith in YHUH
3.     I am serving YHUH
Hebrew
1.     I have surrendered to YHUH’s will and purpose
2.     I do not profess to understand everything and therefore let His Word do what He wants
3.     I accept the Covenant – made NEW by the Melchizedek Yahusha haMoshiach  who came in flesh (but wasn’t a hybrid) and showed us how to live, and DIED and went to Sheol and took back the keys to sin and death, and ROSE – got up out of death and LIVES forever as the True High Priest of the Covenant of Promise – the covenant of health!! And my mindset becomes coming out her – (Egypt – the Dragon’s lair) and learning to walk in Yah’s Covenant of Health and LIFE. – Keeping the moeds and not eating certain things and certainly not eating blood!
John 15:10 – 12 p 771 “If you keep  My mitzvoth, you shall stay in My ahava; even  as I have kept My Abba’s mitzvoth, and stay in His ahava.”
Sh’ma Yisra’el
