Shabbat Review - Trinity is pagan...
Aug 3, 2013 ~ Av 27, 5773
**
Torah for today is Re’eh (see) starting in D’varim /Deut 11:26
**
Sh’ma
*
I want to review the teaching i did last year on the trinity.
**
The concept of trinity is pagan.
*
Romans 11:11 cjb p 1415
“In that case, I say, isn’t it that they have stumbled with the result that they have permanently fallen away? Heaven forbid! Quite the contrary, it is by means of their stumbling that the deliverance has come to the Gentiles (out of covenant believers), in order to provoke them to jealousy.”
When a Jewish person considers Christianity – right away they see – besides people not following Torah… because christianity teaches that “Jesus” came to end Torah......
.....They see the belief that God is 3: a trinity.
This is a HUGE problem because....
.......If God is 3 -- He can’t be ECHAD (one)
... and the Torah/ Word says he is ECAHD (ONE)!!
So right away – they are done considering Y’shua as Messiah – b/c this religion that calls itself Christianity -- is pagan… because it doesn’t line up with Torah.
and ... TORAH is TRUTH.
… because ….besides not keeping the forever commands – of Yah’s set apart feast times and having Christmas and Easter and many other holidays - not in the Word… this religion calls “God” a “trinity” = THREE.
And if there is ONE thing a Jew knows –it is…
“Sh’ma Yisrael Adonai Ehloheynoo, Adonai ehchahd.” !!!!
Brad Scott says…. “The so-called “trinity however is not a comprehensive description of God. The doctrine of the trinity, however well intended, severely limits God. YHWH is much more than Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as can be easily understood by just reading the Tanakh.”
*
It only makes sense that HaSatan would mess with the concept that YHWH being ONE … after all - Y’shua said the Sh’ma was the greatest commandment....
... HE so clearly said HE was ECHAD… and of all the scriptures that Jewish people hang on to…
The watch word of Isra’el is the Sh’ma = the scripture that says HE is ECHAD ….
….The Torah says to say Sh’ma “when you retire and when you arise. When you sit in your house and when you walk by the way...”
Hebrews say this on their death beds as the last thing out of their mouths…
- Y’shua said it is the most important mitzvot...
…. so - do you think it might be important?
Just as the song says… “He is drawing a line in the sand”
The statements.....
“Well, you know what I mean.”
Or
“God knows my heart.”
Is not going to be on the side of that line in the sand that HE is on.
If it was – then, when Isra’el made the golden calf – to WORSHIP YHWH… ....
..... then - “what they meant” – would have been okay with HIM…
But it was NOT.
Aharon said... - by the golden calf - “tomorrow we worship YHWH here”.....
- You see - they MEANT to worship YAH...
- but they weren’t going to do it YHWH’s way.
- They were doing it their way.
- And what did YHWH then plan to do?
- To KILL them...
The Word says….
Sh’mot (Exodus) 20:5 cjb p 82 - “You are not to bow down to them (other gods) or serve them; for I, YHWH your God, am a jealous God…”
You think He might want us to get it right?!!
*
Well, first of all – we find the “trinity” in the English translated Bibles....….
Mattityahu 28:19 cjb p 1262 –
Yep – here’s a problem…
But - 10 days later… Kefa (Peter) is telling people to get baptized…..
Acts 2: 38 cjb p 1363 – – in whose name? Not in the name of “trinity” but in the name of Y’shua.
-Y’shua’s name - Mashiyach’s name.
There is a lot of commentary that this phrase In Matt 28:19 - “father, son and holy spirit,” was added much later than Mattityahu had written his book.
…Going back to the oldest manuscripts and to the historical writings of the time,
and considering that ONLY in Mattityahu -- is God ever spoken of as “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit… (not in any other book of the Word.)
And Eusebius, the greatest Greek teacher of the Church and most learned theologian of his time – did not believe that -“father son and holy spirit”- was in the original scripture, and taught that it was not.
**
Let’s look at a text that christianity uses as “proof” text that trinity is “right”….
Acts 7:55-56 cjb p 1370 (Stephen’s vision)
Well, that sounds like three persons!
But we know --- Y’shua is YHWH in the flesh.
Brad Scott teaches…
“Here is another example of taking the incorruptible God and making Him unto an image like unto corruptible man.
The nature of God is that He is spirit and omnipresent, so how could anybody be standing next to something that is everywhere at once?
Obviously, anyone with even a hint of gray matter can see that this vision of Stephen is much more than seeing two people hanging out at the throne.
It seems some have a perception of God the Father as one guy and Y’shua as another guy.
I suppose, since the text mentions that the Holy Spirit was there, that these people would envision a trio somewhat like Peter, Paul and Mary. –
Without the Holy Spirit, these people must conclude that this vision looked somewhat like the Smothers Brothers. I know that I am being overly sarcastic here, but come on people,
- Y’shua isn't standing next to another person in this vision.
This is simply a typical King James way of expressing the Messiah in the midst of the presence, glory, and power of an omnipresent, unseen God (i.e., right hand of God). The only person Stephen saw was the Messiah.”
- who we know is YHWH.... because YHWH is echad.
** ** ** ** ** ** **
So let’s look at what happened… and more of why I would say that trinity is pagan –
First of all - the word “trinity” is not anywhere in Torah - in any of the scriptures.
Trinitarianinsm = the belief that there are 3 persons in 1 God.
Is stated as: “One God in 3 persons” or “3 persons in one substance”
holds that in God there are 3 distinctions of essence, not just activity.
the name of 3 = Father – Son – Holy Spirit.
“Is a mark of Oriental and Eastern Orthodoxy, Roman Catholicism, and all mainstream traditions arising from the Protestant Reformation.”
Thus, the Oxford dictionary describes trinity as:
“The central Christian theology.”
**
Christian scholars say the doctrine of trinitarianism is essentially monotheistic = belief in ONE God.
However, it’s origins in history reveal that it is a polytheist belief!
It is closely akin to --
- ditheism = belief in 2 gods and
- tritheism = belief in 3 gods.
“Trinity”= developed by “Church Fathers” –
As an evangelism tool, which (they must have thought) required they accommodate Greek concepts and philosophy in its creation,
...As a way to distinguish themselves FROM Judaism and Nasserite believers who strictly adhered to ECHAD.
Why would they do this??
Remember - because at that time - if you had anything to do with anything “Jewish” - you were in danger of being killed.
“Trinitarian is a radical departure from the teachings of the Word- to not just Greek but other pagan religions.”
**
The Ancient Origins of Trinity
Alexander Hislop:
A foremost expert on occultism
wrote “The Two Babylons,” 2nd edition 1959
Wrote:
-“The Babylonians worshiped one god in 3 persons and used the equilateral triangle as a symbol of this trinity.”
- He said there are “Trinitarian ideas in Babylonian cult of father-mother-child. The Eternal Father, the spirit of God incarnate in the human mother, and Divine Son – the fruit of that incarnation.”
--(What does this sound like?!!!)
{Source= Hislop, Alexander, “The Two Babylons”, 2nd edition 1959}
*
Historian Will Durant:
Describes Trinity in ancient Egypt as:
“Ra, Amon, and another god - Ptah - were combined as 3 embodiments or aspects of one supreme and triune deity”
{Source = Will and Ariel Durant, “The Story of Civilization” 1935}
Egypt also had a divine trinity of father, mother and son.
= Osiris – Isis – Horus
Hinduism = Brahma the Creator – Shiva the destroyer – Vishnu the Preserver (sometimes represented as a statue of 1 god with 3 heads.
Buddhism = The Mahayana (northern) school of Buddhism has doctrine of a “triplebody” or “trikaya” = There are 3 bodies of Buddha – the 3 realities.
Taoism = ancient mystical religion of China, has an official trinity of supreme gods
= Jade Emperor – Lao Tzu – Lin Pao

The Greek Connection
There is a philosophic trinity in Plato’s work, and it becomes very significant in Neo-Platonism.
“Greek philosophy, particularly Platonic and Neo-Platonic thought, had a major influence on the theology of the early church.”
*
Really??!!! Does this bother anyone?
Well, it should!!
*
“This influence centered on the Greek concept of “Logos” of which became the corner stone in the development of the doctrine of the divinity of JC and his position as God the Son, in the trinity.”
**
Yochanan /John 1:1 cjb p 1329
“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
better translated:
“B’resheet/ in the beginning was the Living Torah and the Living Torah was with YHWH, and the Living Torah was YHWH.”
**
LOGOS - is simply translated “words” ---“To the Greeks – Logos is the controlling principle of the universe – impersonal, existing in the realm of ideas. --
-Ineffable One who the Greeks called Zeus and physical reality.
It is said ...
“That this is a pagan concept in origin that was then transferred to Christianity cannot be denied.”
The New Schaft Herzog Encyclopedia p 91 =
“The doctrines of the Logos and trinity received their shape from Greek Fathers, who were much influenced, directly or indirectly, by the Platonic philosophy…. That errors and corruptions crept into the church from this source cannot be denied.”
Eberhard Griesebach 1938 – present
...Said in a lecture on “Christianity and Humanism”….
“In its (Christianity’s) encounter with Greek philosophy, Christianity became theology. That was the fall of Christianity. The problem thus highlighted stems from the fact that traditional orthodoxy, while it claims to find its origins in Scripture, in fact contains elements drawn from a synthesis of Scripture and Neo-Platonism. The mingling of Hebrew and Greek thinking set in motion first in the 2nd Century by an influx of Hellenism through the Church Fathers, whose theology was colored by the Platonists - Plontinus and Porphyry. The effects of the Greek influence are widely recognized by theologians, though they go largely unnoticed by many believers.”
“The Doctrine of the Trinity Christianity’s Self – Inflicted Wound” – 1994 Anthony F Buzzard, Charles F Hunting.
-“We find Christianity tending to absorb Greek philosophical values until, by the end of the 3rd century, the line between the beliefs of educated Christians and educated pagan in the east would often be hard to draw.”
“The Rise of Christianity” by W.H.C, Fred 1985
“If paganism was conquered by Christianity, it is equally true that Christianity was corrupted by Paganism. The pure deism of the 1st century Christians …. was changed by the Church of Rome, into the incomprehensible dogma”
Gibbon, Edward, “History of Christianity” 1983
~ “Trinity – didn’t originate in Christiandom. It was a significant feature of pagan religion and greek philosophy – before the Christian era – and it’s forms of existence today actually confirm its pagan background.”
**
Are you hearing where trinity came from? It is NOT from the WORD.
** **
The History of Doctrine of Trinity:
-Spans some 300 years…
-The present day definition is a process that began with the birth of the church in the 2nd century.
Let’s talk about different “Ages or Eras”….
Greek Apologist Age 130-180 CE
“Characterized by Greek teacher /philosophers who wrote books/papers to be read by pagans in order to defend and explain the Christian faith to unbelievers. It was an attempt to demonstrate that Christianity was good philosophy, so that it would be accepted by its pagan contemporaries.”
In this time – the doctrine of “LOGOS” was propagated and developed.
Doctrine of LOGOS - the word.... = “teaches that the “Christ” of John 1:1 is the Logos, and as the Logos this Jesus became a separate being from Father, which was a RADICAL departure from the belief of the Apostles - which was - ECHAD.”
The idea of the LOGOS – was already the main concept in Hellenistic (Greek) culture and philosophy.
“The apologists adopted this philosophy, tailoring it where necessary, in order to make the gospel acceptable to the general population – who saw Christianity as foolishness because it was viewed as a departure from the norm (of pagan society) -their being multiple gods and realms of reality.”
“Justin Martyr taught that the logos was the 1st creation of God and was subordinate to the Father.”
…. Thus the idea that the LOGOS is separate and subordinate to Father was the seed from which the trinity doctrine came from … and the primary source of this idea was Greek philosophy!
Martyr was the first writer to clearly teach the plurality of YHWH. This was HUGE change from ECHAD!
Martyr was a disciple of Tatian – who made it clear that the Logos was NOT equal to Father but His first creation.
Tatian compared this to our thoughts and the speaking of thoughts. We can have a thought but it does not have an existence until spoken = THE SEED OF ARIANISM.
-Likewise the Son was in the mind of God as His Wisdom, Reason, but birthed from God.
The Spirit is not mentioned much at this time but when HE is – it seems like Logos
There was no clear theology of Spirit at this ancient time - nor is there today!
** ** **
Roman Apologist Era 170 – 355 CE
“Roman teachers and philosophers who wrote works to be read by pagans and Christian converts in order to defend and explain the Christian faith to unbelievers and to the growing Christian masses.
Irenaeus, Tertullian, Clement of Alexandria, Origen, and Cyprian, Hippolytus and Novation were the main guys.
“The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are seen as having 3 separate activities or jobs to accomplish one goal.”
While Greeks taught Logos was created in time –
Roman apologists said – HE “coexisted” and was “eternal”
‘Jesus’ is a distinct person from Father who co-existed with Him from eternity.
Tertullian – 150 – 225 CE
1. 1st to speak of God as Trinity and as 3 persons in one substance but not in the sense of its modern counterpart.
2. Greatest contributor to the development of Trinitarian doctrine in the Western Church.
3. 1st person in recorded history to use the word “Trinity” in relation to God.
4 Taught that -“Father and Son” are “2 separate persons”
5. He even ranked them… Father – Son – Holy Spirit
Origen 185- 254 CE
1. Greatest contributor to the development of Trinitarian doctrine in Eastern Church.
- He said – “The Son is not only eternal but was eternally begotten by Father.
3. Equality in Trinity – but also said God and Word (Logos) are separate.
- Accepted Greek Logos Doctrine and added – the doctrine of the eternal Son.
- Taught – Son/Logos was a separate person from all eternity.
*
Tertullian and Origen – “Successfully fused Greek philosophy and the Bible into a system of higher knowledge that historians often describe as Christian Gnosticism.”
At this point it is still TRITHESTIC language that is used to explain the relationship between God and the 3 persons of which He consists.
They agreed upon the Person of trinity were co-substantial but not equal .
Novation –
- especially was one of the 1st to emphasize the Holy Spirit as the 3rd person yet not equal to Father.
Marcion – (Known for his heresy) – influenced the development of the Trinity Doctrine… even made his own Bible – throwing out parts he thought were too Jewish.
Taught Jesus of New Testament was not the God of the Old Testament.
God of OT = “Creator ” – and described Him as “fickle, ignorant, despotic and cruel”
Jesus = God of love and pure mercy
**
3.The Catholic Apologist Age 325- 400 CE
A. Characterized by Roman Catholic theologians who wrote dissertations on Logos and Trinity.
- Their arguments culminated with the Nicene Creed that was finalized in the Creed of Constantinople that is taught today by Catholic and Protestant faith!
B. This period provided the greatest thrust to canonization of the doctrine of the trinity – because backed by the Roman Empire.
C. Main conflict was with the Arianism challenge to Trinitarianism.
D. In 318 CE in Alexandria Egypt a conflict broke out between a presbyter and Arius (the Father of Arianism) and the bishop of Alexandria who was Alexander.
1. Arius said – Logos was created out of nothing and therefore not the same substance as Father. “There was a time when the Son was not.”
2. Alexander said – the Son is co-eternal with Father.
321 CE – big conflict:
1. Alexander held a Synod condemning Arius’ teachings and excommunicated him and his friends.
- Arius got the support of other bishop – who was Eusebius of Nicomedia who was a bishop supported by Arius!
The Council of Nicea – 325 CE
(traditional christianity teaches that the council of Nicea was where christianity solidified and it was “good”)
At the council of Nicea....
1. Because of the conflict between Alexander and Arius --and also between pagans and Isra’el (Messianic followers of Y’shua… = a lot of dissension for the ruler - Constantine
2. Constantine had just become the sole emperor of the Roman Empire and he knew he had to unify his country.
“This controversy threatened to divide his new empire and destroy his plan to use Christianity in consolidating and maintaining political power… So Constantine convened the 1st Ecumenical Council of the church which took place at Nicea (Modern day Isnik, Turkey) 20 miles from Nicodemion in Bithynia 325 CE.”
“Approximately 300 bishops went to Nicea at the expense of the Emperor” (We also know that no Messianic believers – those who “looked” Jewish were allowed to attend!) “The majority were Greek and supported Alexander’s position of the Trinity.
3.Constantine didn’t care how it turned out – only that they agreed. And he made sure of this by threatening to banish all who didn’t sign the profession of faith and sanctioned its universal acceptance upon the Church with the death penalty. ….So unity was achieved…. That had not been done before by a government.
(Anything and everything Hebrew was thrown out as well - punishable by death for keeping.)
There are 3 things that are really significant about Nicean Council:
A. Rejection of Arianism -( Logos was created out of nothing and therefore not the same substance as Father. “There was a time when the Son was not.”)
B. 1st official declaration that was/is incompatible with ECHAD/ Oneness.
C. 1st official declaration supporting trinitarianism.
-Thus Constantine and the Roman Empire made trinitarianism a “valid” interpretation of the bible.
*
Something else about the Nicean council... there were no leaders who kept Torah - no Messianic Judeans allowed to attend the meeting - there were guards to keep them out!
*
(-- Remember they were getting rid of anything Jewish so the pagans would be happy with the faith of the land/government.)
There were 2 Bishops who wouldn’t sign and Eusebius refused to sign…. So they were banished along with Arius.
Within 3 years Eusebius (who was somehow related to Constantine) managed to gain a hearing with Constantine to present his view.
1. Constantine was sympathetic and allowed the bishops, Eusebius, and Arius to return in 328 CE… but he had to agree with the Nicean Council and retain their creed.
2. Eusebius played significant role in the rest of Constantine’s reign – even claiming Constantine’s conversion and baptism before his death in 337 CE.
- Within 2 years after Constantine’s death, Eusebius became the bishop of Constantinople and brought back Arianism.
- Alexander died in 328 and was succeeded by bishop -
Athanusius … who became the champion of Trinitarian orthodoxy.
- he took the position that Son is co-equal with Father and co-eternal and of co-essence with father …
and this is the view of modern trinitarianism.
Athanusius= the true father of modern trinitarianism.
I. Council of Constantinople 381 CE
Theodosius I – Roman Emperor – Nicean supporter so he directed the second ecumenical council.
150 bishops – none from West – discussed relationship of Father- Son- Holy Spirit – unlike Nicean Council which was about Jesus’ relationship to Father…. So they ADDED the Holy Spirit….. so this is the 1st Trinitarian Creed.
**
Anthony Buzzard and Charles Hunting in “The Doctrine of the Trinity – Christianity’s Self-Inflicted Wound” 1994 say…
“One of the great marvels of Christian history has been the ability of theologians to convince Christian people that 3 persons are really 1 God.”
(that trinity is true)
**
Out of this council (Constantinople) came The Apostle’s Creed…. Of which Trinitarians have used as support for their doctrine.
(Notice they are using a paper written by man and not YHWH to support their belief!!)
The original version of the Apostle’s Creed was called “The Old Roman Symbol/Creed”
Its original form – written when the apostles were alive
Does NOT teach Trinitarian doctrine.
BUT the Apostle’s Creed today is Trinitarian…
.... “So much that Non- Trinitarian’s will NOT use it – fearing they will be misunderstood!!”
But the christian church uses it!!
Scriptural Foundations of Hebrew Understanding of ECHAD/ Oneness
Monotheism = the belief in only ONE supreme God
From the Greek Words
monos = alone, one, single
Theos = God
Anyone who doesn’t accept monotheism is following one of the following:
1. Atheist – denies there is God
2. Agnostic – one who asserts the existence of God is unknown
3. Pantheist – one who equates God with nature or forces in universe
4. Polytheist – one who believes in more than one god.
*
Monotheistic faiths = Judaism, Messianic Judaism, Islam.
“Christianity, in light of the above definition of monotheism cannot be considered a monotheistic faith as long as Christianity continues to uphold the theology that Jesus is a demigod or 1 of 3 distinct gods or person in an arrangement of the godhead. Monotheism by definition is the belief in numerically singular God.”
“The reason why Judaism, Messianic Judaism and Islam are monotheistic by definition is b/c they believe in a god that is numerically one in every sense of the word.”
**One important distinction in Judaism, Messianic Judaism and Islam – is that the God of Judaism is NOT the god of Islam!
A big part of the difference between YHWH and other world religions including Islam = these other religions – were founded on revelation to one person…
….but YHWH revealed himself to all of Isra’el at Mt Sinai.
*
Let’s look at the words - Echad and Elohim.
To understand meaning of words used in the Bible – we have to understand the meaning of the words in Hebrew language and context.
Starts with the Sh’ma. D’Varim 6:4
D’Varim 6:6 “and THESE WORDS shall be upon your heart…”
This is important because it defines for Isra’el - who YHWH is and who He is not.
Echad = ONE the number One.
This does NOT mean – compound unity – as I used to think…. “like a bunch of grapes is one bunch.” NO
It means ONE. INDIVISIBLE.
Shortly after the rise of “Christianity” – the Christians replaced the word ECHAD in the Sh’ma - with Yachid which also means a definitive numeric oneness… they did this because of the confusion caused by the whole Trinitarian doctrine that arose.
Yachid - is a divisable ONE.
and there is more...
“The difference that learned Jews understand that Christians do not is the reason behind Elohim being Echad.
It is not so much as Elohim being divided into distinct persons as it is pointing to the fact that Elohim is infinite.”
M’Lakhim Alef (1 Kings) 8:27 cjb p 378
“But can YHWH actually live on earth? Why, heaven itself, even the heaven of heavens cannot contain you; so how much less this house I have built?” –
Not even all the Universe can contain Him.
The rabbis say – “therefore we must say ECHAD, because while He is one, the number one cannot contain Him either. Infinity is greater than one!”
Yesha’Yahu (Isaiah) 37:16 cjb p 491 “YHWH Tzva’ot, God of Isra’el, who dwells above the k’ruvim! You alone are God of all the kingdoms on earth. You made heaven and earth.”
Yesha’Yahu 44:6 cjb p 504 “Thus says YHWH, Isra’el’s King and Redeemer, YHWH Tzva’ot: “I am the first and the last; besides me there is no God.”
2 Samuel 7:22
I Chronicles 17:20
Yesha’Yahu 1:4; 5:19; 5:24; 43:10-11; 44:8; 44:24; 45:6; 45: 21-22; 46:9; 48:11; 42:8 Zechariah 14:9; Psalm 71:22; 78:41
The Tanakh (Old Testament) speaks of YHWH as being ECAHD / ONE.
Now let’s look at the B’rit Chadashah (New Testament) :
“The Greek Jesus that Trinitarianism portrays, does not fit the image of the Hebrew Y’shua that emphatically and systematically taught D’Varim 6:4 – the Sh’ma…. Call it first of all the commandments.” –
Mark 12: 29
Ya’akov (James) 2:19 cjb p 1511 “You believe that God is ONE? Good for you! The demons believe it too – the thought makes them shudder with fear!”
Romans 3:30 cjb p 1405 “because as you will admit, God is one.”
I Corinthians 8:4 cjb p 1429 “… there is only one God.”
Galatians 3:20
Ephesians 4:6
I Timothy 2:5
I Yochanan 2:20
Revelation 4:2
*
What about B’resheet 1:26 – “and Elohim said; let us make man in our image; after our likeness.”
Elohim = most commonly used word for God in Scripture is Elohim.
It is the plural form of the Hebrew word Eloah which means God or deity.
Elohim does NOT denote plurality in God as Trinitarians try to say.
*”The form of the word, Elohim is plural.
and this is important to understand.......
The Hebrews pluralize nouns to express greatness or majesty.”
(Henry Flanders and Bruce Cresson, “Introduction to the Bible 1973”)
So when it says Elohim - it does not mean plural as in many or many parts - it means plural that means... amazing - greatness and majesty. - not many.
I Corinthians 1:23 cjb p 1424 “We go on proclaiming a Messiah executed on a stake as a criminal! To Jews this is an obstacle, and to Greeks it is nonsense; 24 but to thosew ho are called, both Jews and Greeks, this same Messiah is YHWH’s power and YHWH’s wisdom! 25 For God’s ‘nonsense’ is wiser than humanity’s ‘wisdom’.”
Y’shua is YHWH manifested in the likeness of flesh!
How do I know this?.... 7 scriptural proofs:
The Word defines Elohim as immutable – unchangeable.
Sh’mot 3:14-15, Psalm 102:27; Malachi 3:6; Ya’akov 1:17; Psalms 33:11; Romans 4:20-21; 11:29; Daniel 7:9; 13; 22; Yochanan 8:58; Messianic Jews 1:12.
The Word also defines Elohim as omnipotent. – all powerful. There is nothing that is impossible for Him.
B’resheet 18:14 Jeremiah 32:17,27 Job 42:2; Daniel 4:35; Matt 19:26; Rev 17:17; 19:6; Matt 28:18; 8:23-27; Luke 35-41; I Kefa 3:22; Eph 1:20-22;
The Word also defines Elohim as omnipresent. Omnipresent also involves immensity which means that Elohim is present even beyond space and time. The Tanakh and the B’rit Chadashah also confirm that YHWH and Y’shua are omnipresent.
2 Chronicles 2:6; 6:18; I Kings 8:24; Isaiah 66
:1; 6:3; Jer 23:24; Psalm 139: 7-12; Eph 1:23 Acts 17: 27-28; Romans 10:6-8; Matt 28:20; I Kefa 1:1-11; Colossians 1:27; Phil 1:19; I Yochanan 2:1; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18; Eph 3: 16-17; Acts 16:6-7.
The Word defines Elohim as omniscient… all knowing.
The Tanakh and the B’rit Chadashah confirm that YHWH and Y’shua are omniscient.
Prov 15:3,11; B’resheet 18:18-19; Psalm 139:1-10; I Corin 3:20; Acts 15:18; Mark 2:6; John 1:47-50; 21:17-18; 2: 24-25; 18:4; Colossians 2:2-3.
The Word defines Elohim as eternal…The Tanakh and the B’rit Chadashah confirm alike that YHWH and Y’shua are eternal and immortal. Gen 21:33; D’Varim 33:27 Ps 102:24; I Tim 1:17; Heb 1:8; Rev 1:4 John 8:58; Rev 1:18
The Word defines Elohim as self-existent – In other words, God is the reason for his own existence.
Is 41:4; Ex 3:14; Ps 102:24; Joshua 3:10; Ps 36:39; I Tim 1:17;Dan 7:9; 13; 22; John 8:58 I John 5:1-13; John 1:4; John 5:26; Heb 7:16.
The Word defines Elohim as sovereign… God has the absolute right to govern and dispose of His creatures as he pleases.
Rev 6:19; Dan 4:35; Job 42:2; Rev 17:17; Rom 9:18 ; Rev 4:11; Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21; Matt 25: 31-36; Phil 2:9-11; Rve 19:6
Yochanan /John 10:35 Scripture is not able to be broken.
So in all these 7 – we clearly see that
Y’shua is One with Elohim .
This brings us to a big question:
“How can the Almighty and all Powerful ONE who has neither form nor body ...be Y’shua, a human being?
- The glorified person of Y’shua is the ultimate manifestation of YHWH’s power and righteousness for all men.
Water is a great example of how YHWH works… it can be liquid, gas, or solid - but it is still water.
**
History shows that YHWH chastises Isra’el every time she began to worship other gods – every time ,
.... and polytheistic worship was one of the main reasons that YHWH had allowed captivity.
*
The Apostolic Age (30- 90 CE)
Christianity was unknown.
First Century believers never thought of themselves as separate.
For almost 400 years after Y’shua and His Apostles laid the foundation … trinitarianism was considered a universal heresy in both the Jewish and Christian assemblies.
“The early proponents of Trinitarianism knew the source – the Hebrew Scriptures could not be tampered with to the extent that it would remain theologically coherent. Therefore there was no other option available to the Church but to create its own theology and so she set out to create apostasy.”
So in Constantine’s era – “So much hatred was there of Echad believers that Rome set out to systematically destroy any vestiges of teachings or copies of Scriptures that might support the belief in Echad or the Torah.
Many Jewish works were destroyed in this period.

Do you get this? - there was “so much hatred... of the Echad believers ... that Rome set out to systematically destroy any vestiges of teachings or copies of scriptures that MIGHT support the belief in Echad or Torah.”
The enemy was out to destroy anything Torah.

Post – Apostolic Age (90- 140 CE
Doctrine of trinity did not exist as we know it.
Main guys – Hermas, Clement of Rome Polycarp and Ignatius.
they taught....there is one God and that Y’shua was YHWH.
The Ruach didn’t receive much attention in this.
they taught Y’shua is not 100% YHWH and 100% man.
Instead.... Y’shua is one million percent YHWH, and zero % man.”
Lev 19:19 and I Corinthians 15:38
– no two seeds can intermix.
(what a big thing to throw in… but think about this…. If no two seeds can intermix…. What does that mean about who Y’shua is??) !!! – 100 % YHWH.
Tehillim /Psalm 51:5 King David is talking about YHWH in his grace blotting out David’s sin...
verse 7 (5) says “True, i was born guilty, was a sinner from the moment my mother conceived me.”
If Y’shua was man He wold have been born with sin. And we know He did not sin.
The Word says - seeds can not mix. So YHWH would not have mixed seed to have Messiah birthed.
- It is hard, isn’t it - to get the things we grew up with - challenged.
- I am telling you that Y’shua was not from YHWH’s sperm and Mary’s ova.... He was entirely YHWH - but was born of a woman... he lived as a man... but HE had no sin. HE was YHWH in the flesh.

Conclusion:
The doctrine of the trinity and trinitarianism is a corruption of the Faith in the God of Avraham, Yitzhak, and Ya’akov.
It is not scriptural. Trinity is not in the Word.....and not Hebrew.
“The very idea of there being multiple persons in Elohim was out rightly rejected by the early leaders of both Nasserite and Christian community as purely pagan.”
The concept of trinity was gradual and late formation – but it took over and consumed the church.
It helped get rid of the Jews and their beliefs.
The doctrine of trinity says that Y’shua is inferior to the Father. - not even getting that Y’shua is YHWH in the flesh - because YHWH is ONE.
This doctrine – of trinity – continues to be accepted in the church today!
And it must be exposed for what it is = an abomination from the pit of hell!
That is hard words... but let’s get the truth here...
...If YHWH is a trinity ... who showed up to Abraham? Who showed up as a cloud by day and a pillar by night... who showed up to Ya’akov?
YHWH manifests as YHWH needs... not simply three.
BUT YHWH is NOT “three persons, one in trinity.”
Because the Word says... HE is ECHAD.
Our God - is not double minded - He never goes against Torah.
Andrews Norton says….
“When we look back through the long ages of the reign of the Trinity – we shall perceive that few doctrines have produced more unmixed evil.”
So we are called to walk in TRUTH.
Our Elohim is ECHAD. And that means ONE!
Indivisible ONE.... Infinity One.
This will make the Jews jealous so they start coming to faith in Y’Shua....
You see... those who know Torah - will never accept any part of a faith that doesn’t line up with Torah... because they know Torah is TRUTH.
Do you see that this is once again - YHWH calling us out – calling us to be different… and for us to let go of the lies and run to the truth.
YHWH manifests as Spirit – Father, Son – person, and Ruach HaKodesh…. as a pillar and a cloud and as different “persons” in the Tanakh. But in all of that – HE is only and always ECHAD.
So in some ways, it might seem like knowing this....doesn’t change anything –
-- but really -
– it changes everything.
This is another step of understanding that takes us out of paganism and moves us back to following Torah – learning to be righteous and Holy unto YHWH.
Y’shua said He came “for the lost sheep of the house of Isra’el”….
= those who are out of covenant... not walking in Torah and embracing man’s traditions.
....and if part of our mission is to make the Jews jealous… as it says in Romans 11:11,
then this is even more important that running around asking people of they are “saved”… b/c if I live Kadosh… then any and all can look at my life and see “difference” and “set apart” and blessings and shalom and HIS presence… this is how to witness!!!!!!!
---It’s time to rewind our brain and clean out more lies that we have believed…
Because.... in truth - there is only one thing – Freedom.
Amein.
