The B’re’shiyt teaching
Page 31 of your study guide
Part 2 of B’re’shiyt 1:8
Let’s read the whole verse first:
B’re’shiyt 1:8
“Vay-yiq’ra Elohiym laraqiya’ shamayim. Vayhiy -erev vay’hiy - voqer yom sheniy.”
“And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”
~
Last week we talked about the first part of this verse...
1:8 a - “Vay-yiq’ra Elohiym laraqiya’ shamayim.”
“And God called the firmament Heaven.”
And we talked about the heavens.
How many are there?
3
The 1st heaven = the Firmament - our atmosphere - where the birds fly and what we breathe. (by implication 2 Corinthians 12:2)
The 2nd heaven = “space” - where celestial bodies abide (B’re’shiyt 1:14-18, 15:5, 22:17.)
The 3rd heaven = place where YHWH abodes (2 Corinthians 12:2, Ephesians 4:10)
**
Today - we get to study the 2nd part:
B’re’shiyt 1:8 b
“Vayhiy -erev vay’hiy - voqer yom sheniy.”
“And the evening and the morning were the second day.”
Words we have talked about before:
1. Vayehiy = was, or became, come into being
2. erev = evening
3. vay’hiy = was, or became, come into being
- voqer morning
{Last week we talked about - the bet and the vet are used sort of interchangeably? - because when we write good morning - we mostly write boker tov.... and here he writes voker - same word
- yom = day
The last word in this verse is a first mention word... (we haven’t had it yet.)
SHENIY
pronounced - shin -i ey
root = shin - nun - hey
= shanah = to change, to do again, pervert, disguise, second time, also related to the idea of an understudy
What word have we had that means ONE ? = (ECHAD)
SHENIY - literally means “2nd”
Ordinal numbers are 1st , 2nd, 3rd....
Cardinal numbers are 1,2,3,4 ...
- Brad says that there are distinct Hebrew and Greek words that separate the difference between something being the first or something being just one.
He says
“This becomes crucial, especially when we read the English term - “first day of the week” - which is a TERRIBLE mistranslation... maybe even purposely translated that way in order to conform with the early “church” leaders.... and even the day they say that Y’shua rose from the dead...
....which by the way is the reason why the early church fathers changed worship from the 7th day to the first day - based on the translation - of one of the sabbaths - and somehow that got translated - first day of the week- We’ve talked about this before...
{You know... at the time of Y’shua’s death it was just before the High Shabbat of Pesach - so he had to be in the tomb by 6 pm.... and then Friday was preparation day for the weekly shabbat... so the people that don’t understand Hebrew get that all confused and think he rose on Sunday...the first day of the week.}
Back to the days....we say - “the first day” of the week, but - when it comes to the next day, we switch to an ordinal number and a second day...
...so we have one day and then we a have second day... right here in B’re’shiyt. Brad Scott says “this clearly denotes 24 hour periods - not geological spans of time.” !!
Let’s focus on the number 2 and the first occurrence of it here in the Torah ....
Remember - the first occurrence of a word is going to explain / set the tone of the meaning of the word / the definition throughout the rest of the Torah.
= the plain meaning, the allegorical meaning and the spiritual the type of the number 2 as a gemetria throughout the rest of scripture.
shinayim = is the cardinal number - that would be 2
But this word here in 1:8 is SHENIY...
As we learned before - this is a day when there is the creating of the dwelling place of hasatan
and this is a day that the Jewish sages call “a day of strife and division”
It is no coincidence that the word “two” is the fist number we come to that can divide things and can be divided.
This is really important ... 2 can divide things and can be divided.
*
EXAMPLE:
2 people stand up....
2 people can hold on to something and divide it.
Or - now there are two sides... and you we can pick which side we want...
If there are 2 parts - it can be divided.
(sit down) - thank you :)
*
This is idea of 2 is also important b/c the expanse is placed “b’tok” - which is = in the center or equidistant from the waters... Remember - just as far from the lie - that which is under..... as it is from the truth - that which is above. = division...
The second day is a day of division
.... and that is why it is not declared “tov” / “good”.
Do you get that ?
YHWH never declares DAY TWO - TOV / GOOD!
-The idea of TWO = is change - implying division.
YHWH’s desire is not for the 2 to stay separate but for the 2 to become Echad....
- 2 witnesses go out... but they need to go out echad.
- 2 become one. This is true in a marriage!!
Sh’mu’el Bet / 2 Sam 21:(13) cjb p 323
“So, as they were watching, he changed his behavior and acted like a madman when they had hold of him, scratching marks on the doors of the city gate and drooling down his beard.”
- “change”
- this number is normally translated as “second” / SHENIY
...but here it is “change” or division
1 Sam 21:13 - “change”... changed his behavior
Mal’akhi 3:6 cjb p 788
“But because I, YHWH, do not change, you sons of Ya’akov will not be destroyed.”
change - SHENIY -
“I do not change” == He is saying “i am one”... and if you become one -
Oneness, in that my (YHWH’s) blessings would have a conduit to flow through ...
BUT....as long as there is division and strife then Yah’s blessings can’t flow... if there is division.
Yah only flows through echad.. So HE is constantly desiring to make two things one...
*
EXAMPLE
so where are my two people again?....
So if you are a married couple... and are not echad - (don’t hold hands) - His blessing’s don’t flow.... but if you are echad... (hold hands) - His blessings flow. :)
*
Mishlei /Proverbs 31:5 cjb p 991
“For they man drink, then forget what has been decreed, and pervert the justice due to the poor.”
- “pervert” = SHENIY
Daniy-y’el 7:25 cjb p 1110
“He will attempt to alter the seasons ad the law, and [the holy ones] will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.”
“alter” = “change” = THIS is the nature of the mashiach tachat
Remember when we learned TACHAT... What does that mean?
= “Instead of” = what we know as “anti-messiah.
= to change by causing division...
YHWH could not declare the 2nd day good until he makes it one again.
Tov = when first in Word it is with the light - tov = complete...
YHWH is a good God - b/c HE is complete... ECHAD.
~
The root of SHANIY =
Shanah .... and it literally is translated as “years”... as in Rosh HaShanah = to repeat...
Rosh HaShanah not a biblical term in the last 2k years to describe the beginning of the year...
It is really - Yom Teruah the feast of the trumpets... the day of the awaking blast.
It occurs on the 1st of Tishrei was named Rosh haShanah - meaning “to repeat”
...(but it is really, according to YHWH, - Yom Teruah!) :)
~~
Let’s go to page 32 in your study guide...
The number 2 is a very interesting number....
The number two as a number= 1-2-3-4.
-First number that can be divided and first number that divides into 2 equal halves...
second letter in Hebrew aleph bet - and represents the house
... the house begins with the father and the mother....
Beis = blessing when 2 become one.
“if you do this, i will do that.”
Second book - and remember - Sh’mot is a book of division:
- Isra’el - Egypt
b. Wilderness - Canaan
- The Red Sea
- d. Moshe - Pharaoh
Discussion of Scriptures involving division.
2nd verse of Hebrew text
2nd command of first day
2nd day
2 wills enter universe : Y’sha’yahu 14:12-17 = “5 I wills” spoken by
hasatan, and then there is the will of YHWH
- these 2 can never be one.
- YHWH’s will is revealed in Torah... and in tree of chayim. The adversary’s will is Torahlessness - revealed in the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
- These 2 trees are irreconcilable. and those who live in tree of knowledge of good and evil - who are Torahless - are workers of hasatan...
....Matt 7 “depart from me you workers of iniquity - you workers of lawlessness.”
-Why are they workers of lawlessness? b/c they are following the lawless one.
Two different wills operating in the universe...
Man and woman: B’re’shiyt 2:24
2 foundations: Matt 7:24-27 - those who listen and do the will of YHWH
... so Yah’s blessings can flow - not listening = house built on sand
2 goats Vay-yiq’ra 16
2 birds Vay-yiq’ra 14
2 masters - Matt 6:24 can’t serve both - have to choose which one you will serve
2 men - Luke 18 one praying and fasting but no commitment / relation- ship and one with a commitment/ relationship.
2 Kingdoms
2 ways - Matt 7:13-15 narrow gate or broad gate
He that hath the Son, he that hath not the Son: 1 Yochanan 5:12 1:06:01
Heaven.. hell Luke 16
those who Believe ... those who perish Ephesians 2:8-10
Faith -- works - when they become one - that YHWH’s blessings flow!
Ephesians 2:8-10
2 Adams - Adam and Yahshua....I Corinthians 15:46
2 Sons: Ishiamel - Isaiac Galatians 4:22
Natural .... spiritual 1 Corinthians 15:46
Celestial... terrestrial 1 Corinthians 15:40
Flesh.. Spirit - Yochanan 3:6
Jacob ... Esau
Cain.. Abel
Abraham ... Lot
2 hearts - stone and flesh Y’chez’q’el 36:26
2 sets of commandments - Sh’mot 20 and 34:1
2 sets of stones in river and other side of bank Y’hoshua’ 4:1-24
2 potter’s vessels - Yir’m’yahu 18:1-4
2 covenants - old and renewed Ivriym 8:7-8
Jew and Gentile
God and Man
Blue and Red - blue is God and red is man (see Brad’s tabernacle
study) -red, ruddy, adam, earth are all cognates of each other.
2 witnesses B’midbar 13 cp. ‘Amos 3:3
2 witnesses Mattityahu 18: 19-20
2 Tribulation witnesses Hitgalut 11:3-14
2 lights B’re’shiyt 1:16
2 Angels B’re’shiyt 19:1
2 cherubim above the ark; Sh’mot 25:22
2 angels at resurrection Luke 24:4 40.
2 angels at ascension Acts 1:10 41.
Bondman and free Galatians 3:25 42.
God and the Word -Yochanan 1:1 43
2 testaments
Disciples sent 2x2 Luke 10:1
God and His Oath: ‘Ivriym 6:18
2 commandments all the law hangs on: Mattityahu 22:38-40 47.
Blood and water Yochanan 19:34
Double-minded man Ya’aqov 1:8
Blessing and curses
On earth as it is in heaven
Important to know that not all division is bad.
YHWH is in the business of taking 2 things and making them one...
Some things can never be one.
sometimes there are teachings of scripture that seem different and you seek Him... you will see eventually -that they do agree.... like the idea of deny self and having abundant life...
those 2 don’t disagree... and you can get weighed down and discouraged.... but if you lay it aside YHWH will show you they are one...
and sometimes people are in marriages that are not one- no agreement ..but when Yah puts it together no man can separate it....
no unity in home - the house is just a structure...
we are not called to ignore the flesh and just be in spirit... or ignore soul... but be ECHAD - ONE... it can only be done when we feed on the Word of YHWH...
This is important....
outside the Word the only source you have to feed your desires and passions... is the world - tv and magazines and news papers... and music of the world.
BUT....
Everything that YHWH does on the outside -is based on the righteousness He puts on the inside.
Brad says we have to know that
“Scripture does not deal with - fact or fiction, but rather Godly or not Godly.
Fact is not equal to Scriptural Truth.”
God’s truth is truth forever.. that is what distinguishes God’s Word from facts. Now, yesterday, today and forever.

Torah Parashah Ki Tetze (when you go out)
D’varim 21: 10 - 25:19 cjb p 220
Ki Tetze contains more instructions than any other Torah Parashah!
In fact 74 of the Torah’s 613!
Let’s first look at
D’varim 24:4 cjb p 223
“In such a case her first husband who sent her away, may not take her again as his wife, because she is now defiled.”
Do you remember what the big deal with this scripture is??
Yirmeyahu / Jeremiah 3:6-8 cjb p 549
So because of the instruction /law given in D’varim 24:4.... when YHWH divorced Isra’el - the Northern Kingdom in Yirmeyahu 3....
... I like to think that for a small part of a second -there was a panic breath in heaven - because ...How was YHWH ever going to fulfill the scriptures now!!
But along comes Y’shua and he dies and rises... the BRIDEGROOM died and rose - so he could remarry the bride!!
Praise YHWH!!
~~**~~**
Now let’s back up a bit and look at
D’varim 22: 9:12 cjb p 221
OKAY - so vs 12 is a reference to what earlier Torah instruction?
(Remember, this is Moshe’s final speech - his pre game moment... so he is reviewing important things!)
B’midbar 15: 37-40 cjb p 167
So that leaves -
D’varim 22:9-11 cjb p 221
“you are not to sow two kinds of seed between your rows of vines.”
and
“You are not to wear clothing woven with two kinds of thread, wool and linen together.”
This is where we get the - “don’t mix seed”
Remember YHWH hates MIXED...
We had this in the B’re’shiyt teaching....
B’re’shiyt 1:6 = b’tok = to make equidistant, to deceive , same, middle, mixed.
~
“You are not to wear clothing woven with two kinds of thread, wool and linen together.”
Why would this be?
Well the best answer is - “Because HE said so.”
But the other answer is that both wool and linen have a frequency rate of 500 but together they cancel each other out to 0.
so instead of giving LIFE - they would combine and be of 0 frequency and so would not be energy or life giving at all!
~
The mixing of seed.....
The Hebrew word for seed is Zerah =
Strongs # H2232.
Zerah = seed, sperm and so it is DNA!
Don’t mix the DNA!...
Oh Janet, that just might be stretching it....
I Corinthians 15:35-39cjb p 1438
vs 39 “Not all living matter is the same living matter; on the contrary, there is one kind for human beings, another kind of living matter for animals, another for birds and another for fish.”
Hmmmm............
So what is this saying about the flu shots?
Ingredients related to DNA ...
MRC-5 - Cellular Protein - from aborted human fetuses.
“Vaccines are grown on and contain foreign tissue and altered genetic material of both human and animal origin.
These are cultivated in animal proteins, such as rabbit brain tissue, monkey kidney tissue, pig blood, chicken embryo, embryonic guinea pig cells and calf serum.
and insect DNA.
(If you’d like the references and the articles this information came from - email me and i will send them to you.)
~~
What about GMO s ??
Genetically Modified Plants
We know from many sources, including the video - “Genetic Roulette”
that GMO is NOT healthy... in fact, they are not only making animals sick - they are making people sick....
... causing gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, inflammatory diseases and infertility to name a few of the problems.
= MIXING SEED.
hmmm
Where have we heard this before in Torah...
Vayikra 19:19 cjb p 132
“Observe my regulations. Don’t let your livestock mate with those of another kind, don’t sow your field with two different kinds of grain, and don’t wear a garment of cloth made with two different kinds of thread.”
GMO = mixing seed - is about forcing DNA of one SPECIES into another species.
Based on Thomas Horn’s work we also know that the world is working on the perfect soldier and they are mixing animal DNA with human to create the perfect soldier.
What does our stand have to be based on Torah?
NO GMO - no mixing of seed, No mixing of DNA.
AMEIN.
