The Battle/The Warrior
Tehillim (Psalm) 39:7
If I gave you a paper... and it had a circle on it... and I
told you to color the picture... How
many of you would color the inside of the circle?
What if I wanted you to color the outside of the circle?
Well, besides making it clear that I would be a very poor
communicator... most of you would have
colored it “wrong”.
Well, What if i gave you some verses?
Tehillim 39:7 p 509
“And now, YHUH, what do I wait for? My tikvah (hope) is in
You.”
Tehillim 40:4 p 509
“Blessed is that man that makes YHUH his trust, and has not
turned to the proud, or such as turn aside to lies.”
Divre Hayamim Alef (1 Chronicles) 4:10
p 629
And Yavetz called on the Alohim of Yisrael, saying, Oh that
You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be
with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And Alohim granted him that which he
requested.”
Mishle (Proverbs) 4:20-23 p 551
“My son, pay attention to my words; incline your ear to my
sayings.
21 Let them not depart from your eyes; guard them in the
midst of your lev (heart).
22 For they are chayim (life) to those that find them, and
health to all their flesh.
23 Guard your lev (heart) with all diligence, for out of it
are the issues of chayim (life).”
Mishle 6: 20-23 p 551
“My son, guard your abba’s (father’s) commandment, and
forsake not the Torah of your eema (mother);
21 Bind them continually upon your lev, and tie them around
your neck.
22 When you move about, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it
shall guard you; and when you awake it shall talk with you.
23 For the mitzvah (commandment (s)) is a lamp; and the Torah
(Instructions) is light; and reproofs of
discipline are the derech (path, way, road)
of chayim (life).”

Recently I spoke with a bright young adult... who is working
hard at healing... but he has beliefs that are confused... largely because
nobody taught him.
He doesn’t know what The Word means... but he thinks he does
because his “pastor” said so.”
Until we actually do RESEARCH - dig into what the Word really
says - what it means -in the oldest versions we have today - we are just going
by what a person decided it means.
And what is more... this young man has been confused....
going to his church, reading his bible...
talking with the Christian friends and coworkers around him. ....
doing Christian counseling....
He’s been doing these things... but they haven’t given him the answers he
seeks.
Now he is increasing that.
He’s going to his church, reading his bible... he’s talking to his
Christian friends and coworkers and doing a lot more Christian counseling -
actually doing a lot more of all of it...
So he’s doing more of the same - expecting answers - or at
least different outcomes.
What is wrong with this picture?
It’s like eating something you really don’t like... - and
every time - you say, “yep, I really don’t like this.”
And then deciding that you just need to eat MORE of it....
because maybe then you will like it.
What is wrong with this picture?
My point is... we have to be able to see beyond.
We read some Scripture - and they are each wonderful
verses... with rich meaning....
Tehillim 39:7 p 509
“And now, YHUH, what do I wait for? My tikvah (hope) is in

Plus, let’s add some more...
I Peter 2:9 p 824
“But you are a chosen generation a royal priesthood, a kadosh
nation, and a peculiar people; that you should show forth the tehillot (prayers)
of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous Light.”
= theMelchizedek Priesthood
I Peter 5:7-8 p 827
“Casting all your anxiety upon Him; for He cares for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your enemy satan, as a
roaring lion, walks around on earth, seeking whom he can devour.”
Romiyah (Romans) 12:1-2 p
848
“I beg you therefore, Yisraelite brothers, by the rachamim of
YHUH, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, kadosh, acceptable to
YHUH, which is your act of reasonable worship (logical temple service).
2 And be not conformed to this olam hazeh (this world); but
be transformed by the ongoing renewing of your mind, that you may discern what
is that tov (good), acceptable, and even the perfect will of YHUH.”

And recently I spoke with a woman whose daughter is vaccine wounded....
This kid walked in the doctor’s office fine... and left -
very sick and has remained crisis-sick
and she has anaphylactic responses - and the mom has just
been so busy ... and nobody told her she
should or even could sue!
I explained the Hebrew idiom...“eye for an eye”
Then I went on to say... that suing is not about people
who are part of Yisra’el.
Nobody told her!
Who has told you?
Who has invited you?
Who has taught you what the battle even IS?
Oh yeah, that’s right, this teaching title is “ The Battle”!
What battle is that?!
Qorintyah Bet (Second Corinthians) 10:3-5
p 870
“For though we are walking in the world, we do not war
according to the world.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty
through our Alohim to the pulling down of strongholds;
5 Casting down
imaginations, and every high human matter that exalts itself against the da’at
(knowledge) of YHUH, taking captive every thought to be obedient to Moshiach.”
Well that sounds like a battle afoot... but where? What?
But wait, there is more...
Galutyah (Galations) 5: 22-23
p 881
“But the fruit of the Ruach Hakodesh is ahava (love), simcha
(joy), shalom (peace), patience, chesed (kindness), rachamim (mercy), and trust
worthiness.
23 Gentleness, self-control;
there is no true Torah that is against this kind of tov (good) fruit.
Okay so there is a battle
- and despite that we are in a battle - we are still supposed to produce
good fruit.
Love and joy...and shalom....
and kindness......
But I’ve been saying there is a battle afoot....
Ephsiyah (Ephesians) 6:11-18
p 887
STAND - Ephsiyah 6:13-14 p 887
“Stand therefore, having
your Lin’s wrapped around with meet, and having on the breastplate of the
tzedakah”
Stand - Strongs G2476. Histemi
a place to occupy
in present and future
tense is passive
to cause a patrons or thing
to keep his place
to be kept in tact
to escape to safety
to cause one to preserve a
right state of mind
made to stand
kept from falling
to establish a thing
uphold or sustain the
authority or force of anything
to ratify, confirm and to
appoint
to cause one to make his
appearance faultless before
to place oneself
to make firm, fix, establish
to set or place in a balance; to weigh
to pay
to stand firm, stand by
stand near
to stop and stand still,
unharmed
to be of a steadfast mind
does not hesitate, does not
waver
one who vanquishes his
adversaries and holds the ground
Ephesians 6 - one who is in the midst of the
fight holds his position against the foe
persist, continue, persevere
So we could look at that
-as I think most people do...
“Okay I am not doing anything. I am just going to stay right here...”
Well it is not about staying right here....
“One who is in the midst of the fight holds his position
against the foe”
How can you do that and just be literally standing there??!!
How can it just be holding still?
And what’s more.... if it was just standing there... why were
you give a shield and a sword?
I think this is a call to do what HE has called you to!
Well we read - we are to guard our heart... worship, pray...
But what does that look like ???
Yochanan (John) 8:31-32 p 763
“Then said Yahusha to those Yahudim who believed on Him, If
you continue in My word, then are you My talmidim indeed,
32 And you shall know the emet (truth) and the emet shall
make you free.”
-Continue in my Word...
Yochanan 14: 26-27 p 770
“But the Comforter, which is the Ruach Hakodesh, whom the
Abba will send in My Name, sHe shall teach you all things, and bring all things
to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.
27 Shalom I leave with you;
My own shalom I give you but not as the world gives it. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let
it be afraid.”
Don’t be afraid !
Choose another way of thinking besides negative.... focus on the WORD!
Greg Reid wrote in War of the Ages
“You may not know it.
Many don’t believe it. Few are
prepared to fight it. But war it is,
like it or not. The church is under
assault, and the world lies in the hand of the Wicked One - the one who dares
any believer to challenge his rule over it and welcome all comers.”
“Satan is arrogant, malicious, and clever. He is well- practiced, brilliant - and quite
insane.”
“Demons are real. You
cannot read and believe the New Testament without knowing with certainty that
demons are real and that we must contend with them. Yahusha said “in My Name you will cast out
devils” (Mark 16:17) And again, “heal
the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils. Freely you have received freely give.” (Matt 10:8)
It’s not optional. It’s a
command, and a commission.”
So how do we fight?
Gilyahna (Revelation) 14:12
p 921
“Here is the endurance of the Yisra’elite kidushim; here are
those that shomer the mitzvoth of YHUH
and the emunah (faith) of Yahusha.”
Gilyahna 22: 14 p 927
“Blessed are they that do His mitzvoth that they may have the
right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the 12 gates into the
city.”
Tesloniqyah Alef (1st Thessalonians)
5:16-18 p 897
Gilah (rejoice) always,
17 Make tefillah (prayer) without ceasing.
18 In all things give hodu (thanks); for this is the will of
YHUH in the Moshiach Yahusha for you.”
True warriors know that it is only by the mercy of Yah that
they stand...
Tehillim 139 p 546
-is the warrior’s creed ...
Reid says
“This is not Star Wars, and YHUH and satan are not the light and dark sides of the Force. (That is a buddhist and luciferian concept.) There is no contest of power - Yah has ALL the power.”
“This is not Star Wars, and YHUH and satan are not the light and dark sides of the Force. (That is a buddhist and luciferian concept.) There is no contest of power - Yah has ALL the power.”
What if we can knowingly - on purpose -
not only change our focus but change the way we think about things and get rid of lies
we believe...?
What if we knew that STAND meant - to stand in HIs power...
and then go do what HE says - because if we don’t - we will not keep our
ground!!!??
What if we KNEW the truth?...
How do we know the truth - we continue in His Word.
Last week - spending much time in hospital with a young
person on life support - I saw her friends come up .... and they so wanted to
get past the extreme hurt... they didn’t
know what to do!
What were disciples supposed to do in the middle of hard
stuff?
Acts 15:29 p 795
“That you abstain from meats offered to idols, and from
(blood) and from things strangled, and from fornication; if you guard yourselves regarding these , you
shall do well. Be strong!”
This is the starting place....
But when we read scripture - do we just read it - pass over
it....
or do we take it in and use it in the processing of holding
our ground??
AND if we did that...
What if we took it serious?
What if we read the Word and declared it? -
Job 22:28 p 576
what if we - Believed that we really must guard our hearts
and
what if we
Were really transformed by the renewing of our minds?
What if we asked YHUH to bless us indeed?
What if we were conscious we are in a battle...
And what if decided to take up the belief that we are set
apart people... called to DO certain things to thrive in the battle so that we
produce fruit of the Spirit WHILE we are in the battle?!!!
We are called to fight.
Called to say - Enough....
And what if we believed that we had the authority to declare
a thing... and walk in it??...
what would happen?....
We’d be free.

Sh’ma Yisra’el
AMEIN.
