Yom Teruah and the Second Coming of Messiah

Torah Parashah for Yom Teruah
B’re’shiyt (Genesis) 21:1-34, B’midbar (Numbers) 29:1-6,
I Samuel 1:1-2:10
Yom Teruah
Who is Yisra’el?

Yahusha's statement in Matthew 24 that no one would know the time of his return was an idiom for the Feast of Trumpets - Harbour Light Ministry

Torah Parashah

B’midbar 29:1-6 p 130

Mattityahu 24:32-44 p 700

            24:36 p 700 “But of that yom and hour knows no man, no, not even the heavenly malachim, but My Abba only.”

            We grew up in a culture that taught that it was just a random day that Mashiach would return... but let’s look at some Scripture.

Let’s use Scripture to explain Scripture.

Let’s go to Daniel. ... and as we turn to 9:27 , let me remind you that Daniel backwards in Hebrew makes total sense... without any editing.... and it is all about the 2nd coming of Mashiach!

Daniel 9:27  p 445
            The RSTNE says ...
“And he shall confirm the brit with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease, and on the wing corner of abominations shall be the one who makes it desolate, even until the complete end of the olam hazeh, which has been determined and shall be poured upon the one who lays waste.”

Better translated - this is not about offerings to cease... but it is about the abomination of desolation starting...

            = Which is offering sacrifice again - and offering it as a SIN OFFERING.

Daniel 9:27 could be read as
“He will confirm a covenant with many during that week, but in the middle of that week he will be cut off and cause the sacrifice and offering to “cease”   or “confirm covenant in the middle of the SEVEN.”    And he could also mean the 7th month’s full moon!

“CEASE” = Strong’s 7673  - could be cease, but it could also be “keep” or “observe”

“DESOLATE” = Strong’s 8074 - “appalled”, “stunned”,   “causing horror”

“OFFERING” = Strong’s 4503 - “meat offering”, “sacrificial offering”, and “sacrifice”.

“LAYS WASTE” = “deserted”, “awe struck”, appalled”, and “horror struck”

And as we have talked about before... This is about the RESTARTING of the  sin - sacrificial offerings!!!!

A key thing is - WHEN IS THIS??

Daniel 9:20-27 p 444

Clearly Daniel is explaining the end of days....  pretty specifically.

But it says -  “Nobody knows...”

Mattityahu 24:1-31 p 698

Again - about the abomination of desolation.

Again  - pretty clear markers to guide us as we come into that time.

So nobody knows?

Mattityahu 24:3   p 698
“...When shall these things be?  And what shall be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of this age?”

Mattityahu 24: 4-15 p 699

Yahusha’s answer tells of a very specific event - the abomination of desolation.

So it is telling us very specifically and clearly when this will be!

“No one knows the day and the hour” = a Hebrew idiom

When Yahusha said this - he was using a common Hebraic figure of speech referring to a specific Biblical Holiday!
Yochanan (John) 1:47-48 p 755

Yahusha told Natan’el in a strong figure of speech - that is a widely taught Jewish expectation concerning the resurrection and the millennium.

“I saw you while you were still under the fig tree” - refers to life and study of Torah in the millennium.”

The phrase “Here is a true Yisra’elite, in whom there is nothing false.” ==Yahusha is telling Natan’el that he is like righteous Avraham who received his reward for trusting Yah.

The millennial concept of the fig tree is found throughout the Tanach including:

Z'kharyah 3:10 p 485
“In that yom, says YHUH tzevaoth, shall you call everyman his neighbor under the vine and under the fig eytz.”

This is the reason Natan'el responded emphatically to Yahusha
and His words, saying: "Rabbi, you are the Son of YHUH; You are the King of Israel!"

**
Yochanan 5 p 758
             is about Yom Teruah !

It is said that this chapter shows that Yom Teruah is not only the start of “The day of YHUH”

but it is also the day of the resurrection of the people in the graves.

It has to do with the moon and it’s 29 day cycle of renewal.

In this period the moon goes from darkness to light and back to darkness again.

This is not a random accident!
YHUH planned it for many reasons =

1.                     a picture of resurrection and renewal.

Each cycle of the moon the rabbis thought of this as the moon being “reborn” or “born again”
~

NEW MOON

Qolesayah (Colossians)2:16   p 893  Shaul says...
“Let no individual man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a moed, or in the Chodesh, or in the Shabbat days:”

Shmu’el Alef (1 Samuel) 20:5  p 218 David is sort of taunting King Saul...”
            “And Dawid said to Yonathan, See tomorrow is the Chodesh, and I should be sitting with the melech to eat: but let me go, that I may hide myself int eh field until the third yom at evening.”

Yechezkel (Ezekiel) 46:1 p 432
“This says the Master YHUH;  The gate of the inner courtyard that looks toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but  on the Shabbat it shall be opened, and in the yom of the  Chodesh it shall be opened.”

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 66: 23 p 348
“And it shall come to pass, that from one Chodesh to another, and from on shabbat to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, says YHUH.”
~

Mattityahu 24:25 p 700 - in the context of the Day of Trouble, the destruction of the Temple, the rise and fall of false messiahs etc.

“See, I have told you before it occurs.”

So if he knows the future here... what happens .....

Then why does he say this..... ?????

Mattityahu 24:36 p 700
“But that day and hour knows no man, no, not even the heavenly malachim, but My Abba only.”

**

Yom Teruah is the only HIGH SHABBAT that is on a NEW moon.

We Natsarim do not keep “full moons”...
AND apparently the world can’t be for certain when the new moon is - give or take a day... until very close to it.

“How could they plan for a festival that they did not know at what day or hour it would be publicly announced and thus begin?”

Once proclaimed, the Feast of Trumpets

Until that public announcement by the Priest, everyone had to wait before they could begin the observance of the festival.

No one could begin the festival beforehand!

Thus, we can more clearly see the analogy Yahusha made with His words:

“no man knows the day and the hour, not the angels of heaven, but just YHUH”

This is about Yom Teruah!

“NO MAN KNOWS” =  a Hebrew idiom, about Yom Teruah!

Our Messiah was speaking in the language of Feast of Trumpets typology  - the same words....

“I must do the works of Him that sent Me, while it is yom;  the night comes, when no man can do works.”
Yochanan 9:4 p 764

When the Feast / Moed of Yom Teruah was announced....
it is said that...

Those who were working in the fields had to run towards the temple before the doors were shut.

The person who was alert and listening for the sound of the shofar was “taken” by the sound of the trumpet; this was his signal to run towards the temple.

But the person who was not alert and not watching, would not hear the sound of the trumpet,

and they would be “left” in the field or grinding at the mill, unaware that the day had come.

Mattithyahu 24:43-51 p 701

The Thief in the Night

What does this metaphor mean???

In order to understand this metaphor, we must know historically where this term came from.

In ancient Jerusalem, the High Priest in the temple (Kohen ha'Gadowl) would make his rounds each night to make sure that the other priests were doing their duty of keeping the fire burning on the brazen altar.

The commandment in the Torah was to never allow this fire on the altar to go out (Leviticus 6:13).

If a priest was on duty to watch the fire by night, he was not allowed to fall asleep on the job.

 If he fell asleep, the fire would not stay stoked with wood, and it would go out, thereby bringing judgment on the entire nation of Yisra’el.

 The priests were also commanded not to have wine or strong drink while serving in the temple (Leviticus 10:9).

Alcohol in their blood stream would defile their worship and cause them to become drunk, lazy and sleepy.

Because the Kohen haGadol  (High Priest) came at an hour when they were least expecting him to show up, the priests began to nick-name him “the thief in the night.”

If the priest on duty fell asleep and was not watching the fire on the brazen altar, the High Priest would show up and find him sleeping on the job.

The High Priest would then take some hot coals from the altar, and scoop them up with a shovel. He would then dump some of these hot coals onto the priest’s garment who had fallen asleep.

The priest who had fallen asleep would be suddenly awakened by the smell of hot burning coals and his garment on fire.

He would immediately strip off his clothes as fast as he could in order to prevent from being burned.

At the end of his shift, the other priests would see him naked without his garment, and he would be ashamed. This is because all the other priests would know that he was caught falling asleep on the job.

Yahusha is our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Hebrews 7:17-21) and his true followers are his royal priesthood (1st Peter 2:9).

We are told not to be like those priests who fell asleep on the job.

We are given a command to watch, and keep our garments so that we will not be ashamed when our Messiah returns.

Now we can better understand his warning to us in the book of Revelation:

Gilyahna (Revelation) 16:15  p 922
“See, I come as a thief.  Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”

**
Gilyahna 19:11-16 p 925

Yahusha is coming with the trumpet... and great fan-fare and ceremony! :)

He destroys the enemies of His bride. :)

This is what the prophets call “the great and terrible day of Yahuah
 Yoel 2:11, and 31 p 459

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 61:2 p 343

Jeremiah 46:10 p 386

 Luke 21:22 p 749

Another term that is used to describe the same day is “the day of wrath”

Job 21:30
Psalms 110:5
Proverbs 11:4

On this day, Yahusha becomes the “King of Kings” over all the kingdoms of this world as seen in:

Gilyahna 11:15-19; 19:16;
Daniel 7:9-27
Gilyahna1:7
He also becomes “Master of Masters” as the High Priest,Melchizedek.

On the wedding day, the bridegroom and the bride are called King & Queen as seen in
Tehilliym (Psalm) 45:3
“Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O most might one, wiht Your tifereth and Your majesty.”

**
Like the 10 virgins in Mattityahu 25:14 - 17 p 700

**

Last week we talked about “with all your heart”

So who is Yisra’el?? The Binai Alohiym - the Children of YHUH ....

Let’s go to Galutyah... the book that is so so mistranslated and misunderstood in English....

But let’s go there anyway - we need to see something...

Galutyah 3:19 -26 p 877

Yisra’el = children by faith in Mashiach Yahusha ... the zerah (seed) of Avraham.

Yom Teruah... you have to pay attention!....
Sh’ma Yisra’el!!

Romans 14:11 p 848
For it is written, As I live, says the Master YHUH, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to the Master YHUH.

Phylypsiyah (Philippians) 2:10 p 890
“That at The Name of Yahusha eery knee should ow of the things in the shamayim, and things on  earth, and the things under the earth:
11And that every tongue should confess that Yahusha ha Moshiach is The Master YHUH, to the glory of Aloah His Abba.”

Yoel 2:1 p 459

Mattityahu 24:31 p 700
“And he shall send His heavenly malachim with a great sound of a shofar, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

Gilyahna 8 -
= 7 trumpets....

The thief comes in the night.... will you be ready?

Do you have oil??

Sh’ma Yisra’el

Torah Portion Take - End of Days Part 2 - June 18

18 June 2016  ~  12 Sivan 5776
Torah Parashah Nasso ~ Take
Bamidbar (Numbers) 4:21-7:89 RSTNE p 108
End of Days part 2
Yaakov 2:26 - Harbour Light Ministries
Review :

We talked about how difficult understanding things like the end of days is...
Because when we read (if we read) the Torah - we read it with a bias of where we used to be.

It is very hard to understand - because we have believed lies.

Numbers 21:6–8 p 124
“And YHUH sent fiery serpents among the people, and they hit the people; and may of the people of Yisra’el died.  7 Therefore the people came to Moshe, and said We have sinned, for we have spoken against YHUH, and against you; ask YHUH, that He may take away the serpents from us.  and Moshe made tefillah for the people.  8  And YHUH said to Moshe Make a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that everyone that is bitten,when he looks upon it,shall live.”
“serpent” is not in the text ...but the Hebrew word Seraph ... Seraphim....  YHUH’s fiery attendant/s at His altar ...

Deuteronomy 8:15 p 145
“Who led you through that fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought where there was no mayim: who brought forth mayim out of the rock of flint”
-- YashaYahu (Isaiah) 6:2 p p 297
          vs 2 “seraphim” again this is Seraph / seraphim - NOT “serpent”!!!

The seraphim are described as carrying out the work of Yahuah with a fiery passion.
 One Hebrew meaning for seraphim is fiery ones.
Let’s look at what a single “messenger did in the camp of the Assyrian army...In the time of YashaYahu (Isaiah)....
YashaYahu 37:36 p 321
“Then the heavenly Malach of YHUH went forth, and smote the camp of the Ashurim one hundred eighty five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, see, they were all dead corpses.”

**  **  **
Now lets go into new things...

At the last trump,  heard around the world on the 1st day of the 7th moon (Yom Teruah) a kind of global air-raid siren will be heard. It’s called the “day of the shout” and will be a warning of the coming of the reapers 10 days later.

Uyiqara (Leviticus) 23: 23-25 p 99

 It will also signal the raising of those who have died who are of the first-fruits group.

Are you getting this yet?!!!

 THE WHOLE WORLD HAS BEEN DECEIVED!!!!!
The Name is withheld from the world because they will not obey the Commandments of Yahuah.

They believe translations, but not the inspired text.

The only Name given under heaven by which men can be delivered: YAHUSHA  - [Not JESUS, that word first appeared in the 17th century].
They will perish because they did not believe in the Name, and they practiced evil things: Christmas, Easter, Sun-day, relics, crosses, steeples, rosaries, indulgences, sacraments, and other wormwood in place of the Truth, The Word of Yahuah.

That sounds harsh ... doesn’t it?
in a world where ....

~
At Yahukanon (John) 3:18-21, Yahusha said:
"He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of Alahim. And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their works were wicked. For everyone who is practicing evil things hates the Light and does not come to the Light, lest his works should be exposed. But the one practicing the Truth comes to the Light, so that his works are clearly seen, that they have been confirmed in Alahim.”

~
Lew goes on to say:

The book of REVELATION CONCERNS THE DAY OF YAHUAH
Most  people have not understood the message of the book of Revelation.
“They start out stumbling over the meaning of the words because the dragon has them thinking about “Sun-day” rather than the Day of Yahuah [YOM is Hebrew for DAY].”
Lets Read this with the idea it warns us about the Day of Yahuah:
Revelation 1 p 911

Throughout the Scripture, we see the phrase “Day (yom) of YHUH” - many times.

Tzphanyah (Zephaniah) 1:2-7 p 477

This is about the Yom of YHUH.

          Note:  “Host of the shamayim” = the zodiac

          Kohanim here should be “komarim”  (this is not “priest”!) and it refers to “dark robed priests”.... these would not be of YHUH!!!

Dark-robed Pagan priests kept the “sacred fires” going — they wore black because of the ashes and soot their work involved. Fire worship was central to all Pagan worship, from the hearth in the home to the local temple. For example, the Philistines lit their hearths from their local temple’s fire. Those who went on colonizing journeys, or went into battle, would take along the “presence” of their deity by fire-bearers. The Olympic games, and the torch carried to light the altar of Zeus at the events, directly stem from this ancient Paganism.

          “In the last sentence “invited ones” or “guests” ... have been set- apart, or sealed for protection.

They will be gathered afterward to the wedding feast of the Lamb.

The prophet is describing the Day of Yahuah.

 The seraphim (fiery ones) will be released at the harvest to first take away the unsealed.

 Afterward they will gather the “invited ones” – the elect who guard the Commandments and hold to the testimony of Yahusha.

          = These are the Natsarim, spoken against everywhere, because their only teaching authority is Yahusha. (See Acts 24:5 & 28:22).

Acts 24:5 p 803
“For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Yahudim throughout the olam and a ring leader of the sect of the Notsrim.”

Acts 28:22 p 806
“But we desire to hear from you what you think: for as concerning this sect, we know that everywhere it is spoken against.”

~~~
We talked about Yom Kafar  meaning - the Day of the Covering... What will we wear if we are “COVERED”?
We are clothed in the righteousness of Yahusha because we
obey Him as His bride.
~~~~~
WE might have been used to saying - “covered in the blood” - “that is salvation”

What does Torah say about this... ?

Is “covered in the blood” - enough?

Yakkob says in
Yaakob (James) 2: 17 p 811
“Even so emunah (faith), if it has not mitzvoth (“works of Torah done in complete submission), is dead, being alone.”

~~~~ Now back to where we were...
The first-fruits are "covered" (sealed and wearing Yahusha as our armor), and the reapers will pass over His property, and take out the weeds from our midst.
Yahusha was immersed on Yom Kafar, and He transfigured Himself on this same day.
This day foretells our own covering, and day of redemption, when we will be given immortal bodies at the first resurrection when He comes.
~~~
Yahusha told us about the Day of Yahuah coming suddenly on those unprepared.

It will be a day like no other, and the “seizing” or “rapture” will turn out far differently than everyone is being taught about it.
Luke 21:35, 36: “For it shall come as a snare on all those dwelling on the face of all the earth.  Watch then at all times, and pray that you be counted worthy to escape all this about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Adam.” [the rest will be burned-up by seraphim]

An alarm, followed by a release, is revealed at Lev 25:9. It is known as the “Jubilee” year, when each one is restored to their inheritance.
(We talked about this recently.)

Yahusha is our inheritance, and we are His.
“You shall then sound a ram’s horn to pass through on the tenth day of the seventh moon, on Yom Kafar [Day of Covering] cause a ram’s horn to pass through all your land.”

Our release will be when the reign of Babel falls, and Yahusha takes His reign here on Earth.
Revelation 14:6-8 p 921
“And I saw another heavenly malach fly in the midst of the shamayim, having the everlasting Besorah to proclaim to them that dwell in the olam, and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people, 7 saying with a  loud voice, Fear YHUH, and give tifereth to Him; for the hour of His mishpat has come:and worship Him that made the shamayim and the olam and the sea and the fountains of mayim.  8  And there followed another heavenly malach, saying Bavel is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

Revelation 18:1-8 p 924

Yirmeyahu (Jer) 4:7-15 p 352

Acts 17:30-31 BYNV
“Truly, then, having overlooked these times of ignorance, Alahim now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has set a day on which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed, having given proof of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
~~~~~~~~~~~
DEAD RAISED IN THE DAY OF YAHUAH
- On Yom Teruah - YeshaYahu (Isa) 26:19:
“Let Your dead live, together with my dead body, let them arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for your dew is a dew of light, and let the Earth give birth to the departed spirits.”
On Yom Kafar – YashaYahu / Isaiah 26:20, 21:
“Go, my people, enter your rooms, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little while, until the displeasure is past. [reaping will transpire here]
For look, Yahuah is coming out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the Earth for their crookedness. And the Earth shall disclose her blood, and no longer cover her slain.”
HARVEST OF MANKIND COMING
Rev 14:15-19 p 921  “And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place, crying with a loud voice to the One sitting on the cloud, ‘Send your sickle and reap, because the hour has come for You to reap, because the harvest of the Earth is ripe.’ And the One sitting on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the Earth, and the Earth was reaped.
And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place which is in the heaven, and he too held a sharp sickle.
And another messenger came out from the altar, having authority over the fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him having the sharp sickle, saying, ‘Send your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe.’ And the messenger thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the Earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of Alahim.”
As they perform their terrifying work, the seraphim are described by the prophet Yual (Joel): “They run like mighty men, they climb the wall like men of battle, every one goes on his way, and they do not break ranks.” Joel (Yual) 2
SHIBBOLETH - An Example For Us Today
This Hebrew word refers to the area of a plant one finds fruit. On a day appointed, messengers will be sent out to reap the Earth, and they will be looking for a specific seal of protection on a few, but will destroy the vast majority as they first remove the ones without the seal.
~
THE CHOSEN ONES GATHERED AFTER THE WEEDS
Yahusha gives the order of events at
Mattityahu 24:29-31 p 700
“And immediately after the distress [tribulation] of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
And then the sign of the Son of Adam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Adam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”
As you read the following, bear in mind Psalm 91 is about the Day of Yahuah’s wrath, a coming Yom Kafar. The messengers sent to reap the Earth will take the lawless away by burning them before our eyes. We will be protected because we know His Name, the Name of deliverance, Yahusha.
The last word of this Psalm translates as “deliverance.”
TEHILLIM (PSALMs) 91 p 529
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High,
Who abides under the shadow of the Almighty, He is saying of Yahuah, ‘My refuge and my stronghold, My Alahim, in Whom I trust!’ For He delivers you from the snare of a trapper, From the destructive pestilence. He covers you with
His feathers, and under His wings you take refuge;
His truth is a shield and armor. You are not afraid of the
dread by lailah, of the arrow that flies by yom, of the
pestilence that walks in darkness, of destruction that
ravages at midday. 1000 fall at your side, and 10,000 at your
right hand; but it does not come near you. Only with your
eyes you look on, and see the reward of the wrong ones.
Because you have made Yahuah – My refuge, the Most High
– your dwelling place, No evil befalls you, and a plague does
not come near your tent; for He commands His messengers
(seraphim) concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.
They bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot
against a stone. You tread upon lion and cobra, young lion
and serpent you trample under foot.
Because he cleaves to Me in love, therefore I deliver him;
I set him on high, because he has known My Name. (seal)
When he calls on Me, I answer him; I am with him in
distress; I deliver him and esteem him. With long life
I satisfy him, and show him My deliverance.” –
Psalm 91 BYNV (“I AM WITH HIM IN DISTRESS” - A REFERENCE TO THE TIME OF JUDGMENT)
~~~

JUDGMENT OF ALL FLESH – ARE YOU A PIG-EATER?

On the Day of Yahuah, synonymous with the return of Yahusha,
reapers will remove the weeds first  (Yual 2)

It will be the scariest day since man has been on the Earth.

The prophet Isaiah/YashaYahu speaks of this day. Speaking for Yahuah, note how the prophet writes about the eating of pigs:
YashaYahu (Isaiah) 66:15-17 p 347

BYNV
“For look, Yahuah comes with fire and with His chariots, like a whirlwind, to render His displeasure with burning, and His rebuke with flames of fire.
For by fire and by His sword Yahuah shall judge all flesh, and the slain of Yahuah shall be many – those who set themselves apart and cleanse themselves at the gardens after One in the midst, eating flesh of pigs and the abomination and the mouse, are snatched away, together,’ declares Yahuah.” – YashaYahu / Isaiah 66:15-17 BYNV

“And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Shabath to Shabath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares Yahuah. And they shall go forth and look on the corpses of the men who have transgressed against Me. For their worm shall not die, and their fire not be quenched. And they shall be repulsive to all flesh!” –

SHIBBOLETH (we talked about this word last time) - The password that kept them or caused them to be killed....

Judges 12:5-6 p 196

Giladites used this word to test the identity of men crossing the Yarden River in the days of the Judges of Yisharal:
“And Gilad captured the fords of the Yarden that faced Afrayim. And it came to be when the fugitives from Afrayim said, ‘Let me pass over,’ the men of Gilad said to him,
‘You are an Afrayimite!’ If he said, ‘No,’ then they would say to him, ‘Please say: shibboleth’ - And he would say, ‘sibboleth,’ for he was unable to pronounce it right.
Then they seized him and slew him at the fords of the Yarden. And at that time there fell 42,000 Afrayimites.”

A SHIBBOLETH MOMENT IS COMING FOR ALL OF US

In Scripture we read that the Giladites made the Afrayimites say a password to confirm their true identity.

Pigs, oyster, clams, and squirrels aren't food.

The reapers are coming.
 Repent, for the Day of Yahuah draws near.

It will be the scariest day since man has been on the Earth.

There must be a point for us to learn here. The Giladites were the occupants of a mountainous area known as Gilad, who were made up of the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh; fellow brothers!

Sadly, this kind of thing has occurred in many places since. During World War II, Japanese spies would approach checkpoints, and were tested with the word “lollapalooza” - if they said rorraparooza, they were immediately shot.

There are dozens of other horrible examples, but you get the point.

The only way of identifying a follower of Yahusha is by verifying whether or not His Spirit is in them.

-If they belong to Him, His Presence will show: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self- control. Their behavior will reflect Him.... and treat each other with Love. And not constant bickering...

So maybe the question is...
What I shared earlier that Lew White wrote....
Are you a pig eater?
That represents so many things.... What do you have your halacha (your walk) in??
Who /what do you trust.
Faith without works of Torah is DEAD.

Yom Teruah - Yom HaKippurim - Torah Portion Nitzavim - September 12

Yom Teruah, Yom HaKippurim, Torah - Nitzavim D’varim 29:9
12 Sept 2015  ~  28 Elul 5775
Torah Parashah Nitzavim - “Standing” or “Taking a Stand”
D’varim (Deuteronomy) 29:9-30:20 RSTNE p 160
Yom Teruah and Yom HaKippurim

Keeping and understanding YHWH's feast days is a privilege. - Harbour Light Ministries

**

This Shabbat’s Torah Parashah - Nitzavim - “Standing” or “Taking a Stand” is very precious to me.

At some point - years ago - this Scripture really hit me.... and it was as though YHWH planted seeds and i began to question.

Because i was taught something that didn’t line up with this Scripture.
I was taught that we didn’t keep the Torah because it was too hard for any person to do... so that is why YHWH had to send Messiah - b/c man couldn’t follow His instructions!

But that is NOT what this portion says!.... and i began to wonder.

- similarly to reading that Y’shua was in the grave three days and Three nights... and friday - Sunday didn’t fit that.

And then, this process of learning Torah- this Parashah really hit me about 10 years ago....and every year it comes up it is a delight to me..

This parashah starts out with instructions to keep “this brit (covenant) - and you will prosper.

D’varim 29:9-10 RSTNE p 160
          9“Keep therefore the words of this brit, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.
          10 You stand this yom (day) all of you before YHWH your Elohiym; your captains of your tribes, your zechanim (elders), and your officers, with all the men of Yisrael...

and it goes on to talk about the women and children and the different workers in their society -

-     point being - that this covenant is for everyone. :)
Even including...
29:15 “...also with him that is not here with us this yom (day).”

-That’d be all the generations to follow   === you and I.

And then it starts talking about paganness in the world....

D’varim 29:19
          “And it comes to pass, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his lev (heart), saying, I shall have shalom, though I have my halacha (walk) in the imagination of my lev (heart)....”

What’s going on here??...
This is declaring that it is a very big problem to decide to live / have my walk in - the things that I decide.
*
Remember the 2 trees...

The etz of da’at of tov and ra = the tree of the knowledge of good and evil....  where I decide what I think is right ...

vs -

The etz chayim  - the tree of life... where YHWH decides  what is true!!

Here in verse 19 it make it clear that me - “doing it my way” - is not acceptable to YHWH!!

What was the problem??...

D’varim 29:26
          “For they went and served other elohiym (gods), and worshiped them, elohiym whom they knew not, and whom He had not give to them.”

-    again - they were doing what they wanted - what they decided....

D’varim 30:1-20

So what do we do with that idea that many of us were taught - that “Man just couldn’t keep the Torah because it was too hard... and so God had to send Messiah.”.....

because right here....

D’varim 30:11-14 CJB p 232
          11“For this mitzvah which I am giving you today is not too hard for you, it is not beyond your reach.”

          14 “... in your mouth, even in your heart; therefore, you can do it!”

“YOU CAN DO IT!”

Nothing in this Torah parashah says - it is too hard to follow YHWH’s instructions.

Yom Teruah - The Feast of Trumpets and Yom HaKippurim

Yom Teruah...

The secular world calls this Rosh Hashanah. We do not use that term because that is not Biblical.

Wayiqra (Leviticus) 23:23:32  RSTNE p 99

We know that some ministries teach that because we are now in the renewed Melchizedek Priesthood, we no longer need to fast on Yom HaKippurim.

but....

31 “You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a chuk le- olam-vay-ed throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

B’midbar (Numbers) 29:1-11 also talks about the fall Moedim (Feasts).

*
The 10 days between Yom Teruah and Yom HaKippurim ....are traditionally called the days of awe....

and this is the time we focus on Teshuvah - repentance and returning to YHWH.
**

We are learning that the moeds... the feasts are prophecies about Y’shua HaMashaich .

The Spring feasts:

Pesach - Passover
                   Mashiach (Messiah) the Lamb’s blood shed for sins.
                   Rode in to Jerusalem - same day lamb was chosen
                   Died same time sacrifice was made on door steps

Chag HaMatzoth - Feast of Unleavened Bread
                    Points to the sinless life of Y’shua HaMashiach
                   He was in the ground as a seed ready to burst forth as the                        chayim lechem (bread of life)

Yom HaBikkirum - The Feast of First Fruits.
                   I Corinthians 15:20 p 863 Shaul refers to Y’shua as the                  first   fruits.
                   Y’shua rose and took His blood to thee Holy of Holies in the                    heavenlies - to atone for the sins of Yisra’el - all His people.

Shavuot - The giving of Torah and then the giving of Ruach HaKodesh             (Holy Spirit)

The Fall Feasts:

Yom Teruah -  Feast of Trumpets
          Is the prophecy of the return of Y’shua HaMashiach!

          -Mark 13:32 and Mattityahu 24:36 - “No man knows the day or     the hour”.....  Yom Teruah only Feast day that we don’t know for    sure   what day it is - b/c it’s on a new moon....

-    The shofar calls AMI Yisra’el together!

-    The shofar announces the coronation of a new Melech (king).

-    It is a “dark day” - new moon.  - the prophets repeatedly warned about the “dark day” - “The coming day of YHWH.”

                   Ahmos 5:18-20 RSTNE p 464

                   Yoel (Joel) 2: 31 RSTNE p 460
                   “The shemesh (sun) shall be turned into darkness, and the yarayach (moon) into dahm (blood), before the great and the terrible yom (day)  YHWH comes.”

                   Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 13:9-10 RSTNE p 305
                             and 34:4,8

                   Yoel 3:15 RSTNE p 461

                   Tzephanyah (Zephaniah) 1:14-16 RSTNE p 477

Maaseh Shlichim (Acts) 2:16-21 RSTNE p 780

There are many times in the Word that speaks of the blowing of the trumpet or the shofar....
~

But there is only TWO times when the Word speaks of YHWH blowing the shofar...
          It is
          Sh’mot 19:18-20 RSTNE p 63

          Zecharyah (Zechariah) 9:14 RSTNE p 490

Yom HaKippurim - The Day of Atonement

          The fasting day = judgement day by YHWH.

          Yisra’el’s most awesome holy day!  It is also the most solemn holy day!

          This is the only time - when Yah doesn’t just say - if you don’t keep it - you’ll be cut off from My people... but on this day - you die if you don’t keep it.

          When there was a temple - this was the only day that the Cohen haGadol (High Priest) was permitted to go into the Kadosh kadoshim (Holy of Holies).

The word atonement does NOT mean “at-one-ment” ....
Rather it is about the idea of sins being covered.

To YHWH, sin is not a minor infraction and violations of his Torah resulted in a penalty.  Atonement involves covering for the consequences and for the penalty of the sin.

The first example is in Gan Eden when Adam and Chava sinned... YHWH made them animal skins to COVER themselves...  by the sacrifice of blood.

Among the many sacrifices commanded for Yom Kippur in the day of the Temple, there was particular attention given in selecting two male goats to be considered as one sin offering.
A special ceremony occurred in which the High priest cast lots for the goats.
One was selected as the goat of sacrifice to YHWH
and the other goat would be the Azazel goat - the goat of removal.
Both goats were considered sin bearers.
The sacrificed goat’s blood was sprinkled on the Mercy Seat
and the goat that was not killed became the Scapegoat - Azazel.
  The sacrificed goat signified punishment for sin,
while the High Priest spoke all the sins of Isra’el over the live goat and then it taken out into the wilderness and probably thrown over a cliff.
This represented the removal of sin.  (Azazel means “removal.”)
Both goats together portrayed a complete picture of what atonement is all about:
          Atonement required a substitute to bear sin, and to pay the price for sin;
the substitute sacrifice covered the penalty of sin by its death, the innocent for the guilty.
The live goat that is led into the wilderness signified the removal of sin far away.
  Thus the Day of Atonement was considered a sobering and awesome day as each year the nation relied on the work of the high priest to provide the necessary offerings in hopes that he would secure forgiveness from the Elohiym for their crimes.
(And isn’t it amazing... that because of THEE HIGH PRIEST - Y’shua HaMashiach - our sins have been forgiven!!!)
...The story goes that they would tie a scarlet thread around the Azezel goat.  They’d also hang a white  one on the Temple door and when it turned red - they would know the Azezel was dead.
*
The evening service that begins Yom Kippur in the Jewish world is commonly known as Kol Nidre.
Kol Nidre is named for the prayer that begins the service.
Kol Nidre means “all vows” and in this prayer, they ask YHWH to annul all personal vows  made last year and which we may make in the next year.   (My understanding is that this is about vows that aren’t good to make - not marriage vows. :) )
**
Yesha’Yahu /Isaiah 58 cjb p 528

This is about fasting....
and you know...  fasting is hard....
but what a JOYFUL day!
To think that this day represents the forgiveness of sin and the day Y’shua will return and judge!
