Torah parashah Miketz ~ at the end ~ B’re’shiyt 41:1 - 44:17
= the story of....Yosef /Joseph in prison... and Pharaoh having a dream... Yosef interpreting it.... and Ya’akov /Jacob sending his sons to Egypt to get food ... Yosef meeting his brothers... and them going back to get Binyamin.... and then leaving and Yosef planting the gold goblet in Binyamin’s grain bag....
~
I want to remind you of CJB p 1621 and following...
= “Scripture readings for the festivals and fasts”...
One of the readings for Hanukkah is Zechariah 2: 14-4:7...
Before we return to our study of B’re’shiyt... lets look at :
Z’kharyah /Zechariah 4: 1-10 cjb p 775
vs 4:6 “Then he answered me, “This is the word of YHWH to Z’rubavel: ‘Not by force, and not by power, but by y Spirit says Adonai-Tzva’ot.’ (the Lord God of Hosts).”
In Hebrew, this is 7 words... and the prophet saw each word over a light /flame on the Menorah .... b/c it is the KEY....
YHWH’s light is the KEY.
May we focus on HIS Light in this Feast of Dedication... and always.

Review....
2 pictures....
1. The first sentence of B’re’shiyt is a menorah:
with the “et” - the aleph and the tov - as the center - which happens to be the servant candle (Hitgalut /Rev 22:12-13)
... and one side of the menorah the YHWH side:
“B’re’shiyt bara elohiym”
...and the other side, the side of creation/ world - haShamayim va’et haErezt”
and remember that Y’shua is the connection- the ladder that we learned about in the Torah portion of the dream Ya’Akov had... the ladder that connects heaven and earth.
the second picture:
- The house, the piece of land. and a family:
We talked about how the bet - the first letter - in the oldest version of Torah found - faces the other letters... as the Torah comes out of the house...
The house is YHWH’s house.
Again we are back to the house the family and the piece of land....
Mattityahu 13:1 cjb p 1239
“That same day, Y’shua went out of the house and sat down by the lake , but such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat there while the crowd stood on the shore...”
- “out of the house” = outside the court of the Tabernacle = “the HOUSE”
- This teaching is foundational on the principal of the seed... and that is that YHWH’s family is born from His seed - the Torah/ Word - and not from man’s seed / blood and sperm.
- The phrase - “to go out of the house” in Hebrew thinking is to leave from the East and go to the West.
- The word that has been translated as “shore” is “yam” in Hebrew and it is the same word as “west”... and who is represented by the west - those “out of the house” of YHWH - His beit hamichdash.
- Those out of the House of YHWH are those out of covenant or, said more clearly --- those not keeping Torah.
- “....sat down by the lake” - “lake” = the Hebrew meaning here is - a great multitude = the Northern Kingdom of Isra’el.
So... what we have: ...That same day, Y’shua went out of YHWH’s house - the beit hamichdash, and went to the West - into the Kingdom of Isra’el - the Northern Kingdom ... with the purpose of bringing them - the people of the Northern Kingdom - those out of covenant - also known as Isra’el ----back to the house
- actually doing what He came to do...
Mattityahu 15:24 cjb p 1243
“He said, ‘I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Isra’el.’”
We consistently see that the mission of Y’shua haMashiach...
...IS........
...“To take His people - Isra’el - by the hand, and lead them back to the House - the beit hamichdash - b/c they keep Torah there..... and be family.”

B’re’shiyt = means =
-In the beginning
-a title of the ONE who created
-the head of
-what starts something into motion

Brad goes on in his teaching to say...
If one rearranges the letters of B’re’shiyt, we get what is in the middle of page 4 in your books...
1. The words - “bayit rosh” = head of the house, or first house
---this is the first house and the house begins with the head of it...
...and the head is just there - YHWH himself... He is there. He is.
He always was.
There is no explantion of how the head - YHWH got there...
And as we talked about before in this teaching -- The Living God gives no explanation of how HE got there... HE just always was....
.... unlike all the other religions... who can explain there god - they have a story of how their god came to be... but not the Living God.
If you rearrange the letters of b’re’shiyt you also get
the word...
2. “betisherey”
which means = in the month of Tishrei.
... According to ancient rabbis - YHWH created all things in the month of Tishrei. (Sept/ Oct ish... Yom Terruah/ Yom Kippur / Sukkot seasons).
Another thing to note about “B’re’shiyt bara”... is
the gemetria of “B’re’shiyt bara” = is the same numerical value as............. “on Yom terruah the world was created”....
“This COULD be a coincidence but maybe it’s significant” according to Brad Scott...
B’re’shiyt = numerical value is 913.
913 is the same numercal value as
“Batorah yatzar” = “He formed with Torah!!” = 913

So let’s go to the second word of Torah -
BARA ... the action.
YHWH doesn’t begin with a noun... he begins with an action..
This is how the Hebrew language works...
B’resheet bara ..
literally says in this sentence that “in the b’resheet created god”
- or “god in the beginning, created god”...
- but we can’t read it literally like this....
Because....it’s just the way it reads in the Hebrew language, which focuses first on placing the verb before the subject.
This is a linguist issue... just like if you translate other languages... the sentence structure /order doesn’t match English either.
“Bara”
looks just like the first three letters of Bresheet
bet - resh - aleph
Now i want to talk about some language stuff that might seem a bit complicated... but just relax... we’ll figure it out....
Brad Scott says...
The form in which bara first appears is the...
Kol stem in the perfect tense singular...
we know it is singular b/c it is in the Kol stem....
A word in “kol stem” is “taking it back to the mountain top / the parent /action root”
When something is taken back into the Kol stem it means...
= HE in first person masculine...
referring to the one who is doing the creating - HE singular.
This is important because YHWH created... and the way the word bara is written - makes it clear that the bara was done by a he - first person masculine.
- This is going to be important when we get to the word “Elohim”....
Also - since “bara” is in the “perfect”...
This means that it was an absolute completed act - right there in the first verse.
“Bara” = to open up and make seen
that is why we do not say - like the Greeks - ex nihilo.
Ex nihilo means “outof nothing”.
What we say is ... “out of those things which are unseen”
-which is the word Shaul uses in the Brit Chadashah when he talks about the things that are seen come from the things not seen.
... It is rather, YHWH’s Word which is spirit and life... unseen.... so it is out of that which we do not see.
Once again this word has somethign to do with the SEED ...b/c that is how a seed operates...
... it is the Word of YHWH, the SEED that created all things and itis unseen...
and YHWH is using a physical seed to describe how hispeople are reproduced - which is unseen...
B/c His people aren’t from the seed of man - blood and sperm.... but YHWH”s people are from the seed of the WORD.
We talked in the introduction that YHWH uses the pictures / things in the natural/ things seen.....
...... to teach the spiritual... things that are unseen.
A seed begins to open up and make visibel what is inside the seed.
It is words and letters that form what all things are created from ....
and these things are concentrated in the seed....
... and are dispersed throughout the universe... and then things,... all things in the universe/ creation ... was created.
That is what it says...
Brad says... “we can banter bakc and forth about symbolic meanins.....
... but we have to take the BEGINNING (and all the Word) literally.
~
The pictorgraph of Barah = bet resh aleph
=the strength or power of the head of the house = “bara”.
The strength or power of YHWH the head of the house is displayed in all the universe/creation....
... bringing things into existance .... starting the motion.
~
There is no coincidece ....
that the word ROSH - in b’re’shiyt... which literally means to start or cause something into motion.....
... that same word you also find it forms the word “bara”.
Bara is a word ONLY used of YHWH.
Man never baras...
man only forms and makes and manipulates from what is already created.
Only YHWH creates/ baras
Amein.
