Chapter Sh’mot 10: 1-4  p 55
Plague of Locusts...
but more than that..

in Sh’mot 10:3 p 55

          “... How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me?...”
“let my people go”...

and Pharaoh denied them.... and
the locusts came.

Sh’mot 10:16-17 p 56

Pharaoh realizes - he has sinned... and asks for forgiveness.

and a wind comes and the locusts are removed from the land.

~~~
So i got this far... and then it hit me...  I had to go back...
1.  The first plague.... in Sh’mot 7: 20...
All the water in Egypt became blood.
What is this about?
This is against the god of the Nile
against Isis the goddess of the Nile and
Khnum - guardian of the Nile
The Nile was also believed to be the bloodstream of Osiris, who was reborn year after year when the Nile flooded.
What’s more - this river formed the basis of the life and economy of the peoples.
Do you see the basis of our daily life disturbed today??
What would that basis be?  Well we could say our economy...
Look at our water today....  fluoride  and field pesticides - namely Roundup - glyphosate.
2.  The 2nd plague - frogs from the Nile ... was against Heqet, the frog-headed goddess of birth.  They couldn’t kill frogs because they were sacred.  They invaded homes and were everywhere.
Do you see things invading your home...  maybe things that you just can’t quite kill.... like TV....
3.    The 3rd plague, - gnats...  was a judgment on Set, the god of the desert.
The magicians couldn’t copy this one!  - They even told Pharaoh that this was the had of Elohiym.
4.  The 4th plague, - flies.... was a judgment on either Re or Uatchit - who were both depicted as flies.  YHWH distinguishes between the Egyptians and Isra’el - because no flies bother Isra’el!
5.   The 5th plague - death of livestock - judgment on the goddess  Hathor and the god Apis, who were depicted as cattle.
Isra’el didn’t lose any livestock - Egypt lost them all.
YHWH was steadily destroying the economy of Egypt... while showing his ability to protect and provide for those who obey Him.
Pharaoh even sent investigators to see if Isra’el was suffering like  Egypt...
6.    The 6th plague - boils... judgment against several gods over health and disease (Sekhmet, Sunu, and Isis).
And the magicians could not stand before Moshe - so clearly the “religious leaders” were powerless against the Elohiym of Isra’el.
7.   The 7th plague is hail - comes with thunder and fire (lightening?)
This is attacking Nut the sky goddess, Osiris the crop fertility god, and Set, the storm god.  They had never seen hail like this before.
They YHWH tells Moshe that the Isra’elites would be able to tell their children of the things they had seen YHWH do in Egypt and how it showed them YHWH’s power
8.    The 8th plague -  again focused on Nut, Osiris, and Set.  The latter crops  wheat and rye, which had survived the hail were now devoured by the swarms of Locusts.... no harvest in Egypt that year.
9.    9h plague - darkness - was aimed at the sun god Re who was symbolized by Pharaoh himself.  Egypt was in darkness but Isra’el had light.
Before the 10th one... Yah tells his people to go get gold etc from their Egyptian neighbors...
10.    The 10th plague... death of the firstborn males...
Yah was teaching them to look to the Messiah.
The blood of the lamb smeared on the door posts.
Any family that did not follow YHWH’s instructions would suffer in the last plague.
The only protection was the DAHM / BLOOD of the Lamb.
You might take note here that if they have’t seen it before...this is a clear picture of YHWH’s protection....
prophecy of Y’shua haMashiach.
Do we see the Hand of YHWH like this in our day?? In our lives??!!
~~~~

Sh’mot 12:15-20 p 57

Matzah = unleavened bread

Chametz = products made from certain grains = wheat, barley , oats, spelt, rye ... that have come into contact with water and allowed to sit for a certain period of time.

Seor = inedible lumps of starter dough

~~

Sh’mot 12:49 - 13:16 p 58

“The strength of His hand” - the strength of the hand of YHWH ===  Y’shua Hamashaich.

Look what an amazing picture this is of Messiah and his coming .....

Sh’mot 13:13  p 58

redemption of bachor  / “and all the bachor males among your children shall you redeem”

The Hebrew word is padah araph = sacrifice and prayer.

Hmmm are you getting the picture yet??

YHWH’s plan on earth....
