B’re’shiyt 1:12
Vat-totze’ ha’arets deshe’ ‘esev
maz’riya’ zera’ l’miynehu
v’etz ‘oseh-p’riy ‘asher
zar’o-vo l’miynehu vay-yar’ Elohiym
kiy-tov.
“And bore the earth
vegetation herb seeding seed after its kind and the tree producing fruit which
is it in it after its kind and saw Elohiym it was good.”
“And the wearth
brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree
yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and YHWH saw
that it was good.”
This verse is a
repeat of verse 11. Which was the
commandment going forth from YHWH’s mouth, for the earth to reproduce.
It may seem
redunant... but it is important because - when the creation is told to produce
- it does it.
This is showing the
pattern for those who are truly the creation of YHWH. The earth and the creation can’t say no, but
they are nontheless expressing the fruit.
The trees clap thier
hands and
Y’shua mentions that
if He wanted to, He could raise up the rocks to praise Him.
But you and i have a
choice... we have the abilit to say no to what YHWH wants.
NEW WORD:
VAT-TOTZE’ -
yod - tzadi - ayin
root = yatza’ = go forth, come out
Y’sha’yahu 11:1 p 303 RSTNE
“And there shall come forth a rod out
of the stem of Yishai, and a Netzer-Branch
shall growo out of HIs roots:
Y’sha’yahu 45:23 p 329
“I have sworn by Myself, the Word is gone
out of My mouth in tzedakah, and shall not return, That to Me every knee shall
bow, and every tongue shall swear.”
Miz’mor 37:6 p 508
“And He shall bring forth your
tzedakah as the light and your mishpat as the noonday.”
--Review other words
because they are NOT first mention. (- follow along under the verse)
ha’arets = the earth
deshe’ = vegetation
‘esev = herb
mazeriya’ = seeding
zera = seed
le’miynehu = after
its kind
ve’etz = and the tree
‘oseh = producing
‘e’riy = fruit
‘asher = which
ZAR’O-VO = IS IT IN IT = a direct reference to a seed being in
something
le’miynehu = after
its kind
vay-yare’ = and saw
Elohiym = God
kiy-tov = it was good

B’re’shiyt 1:13
“Vayehiy - ‘erev vayehiy - voger yom sheliyshiy.”
“And the evening and
the moring were day third.”
Vayeyiy - ‘erev = and
the evening
Vayehiy - voquer =
and the morning
yom = day
Sheliyshiy = third
shin lamed shin
root = shelosh = third
It’s no coincidence
that this is the third day....
and the third day is
all about the earth producing fruit.
True - literal first
fruits of the creation...
This same term
is used of Y’shua’s resurrection.
We know that Y’shua
rose on the Feast of First Fruits
and we know that was
on the third day.
No coincidence that
on the third day the earth was commanded to bring forth fruit.
Third = ordinal
number - rather than the cardinal number
3
page 43 in study
guide - list of Scripture with Third in...
“Three” or “third” =
fullnesss, perfection, complettion in time and space. (- not from a heavenly or
Yah’s point of you
as we see that is
found in the number 7.)
**
Next time we will be
on Sh’mot 1:14... and talk about the things in the sky....
which is an
interesting thing considering there is a blood moon comping up on Pesach -
April 4!!

Torah Parashah: Vayak’hel (he assembled) and
Pekudei (accounts) -
Sh’mot (Exodus) 35:1-40:38
p 76
I used to read Sh’mot
and become irritated with the details.
I am beginning to see
it differently now.
Sh’mot 35:1 - Moshe gathers Isra’el...
“And Moshe gathered
allthe congregation of the children of Yisrale together, and said to them, These are the worlds that YHWH has commanded,
that you should do them.”
and then immediatly
starts talking about working six days but resting on Shabbbt.
Then he invited
Yisra’el to bring an offering...
What were the
qualifications of those who brought offerings?
Sh’mot 35:21
“... everyone whose lev
(heart) stirred up and everyone whose ruach was willing...”
Sh’mot 35:25-26 p 76
chochmah / wisdom in heart
and a heart “stirred” to do it
Sh’mot 36: 2
chochmah/ wisdom in heart
and a heart “stirred” to do it
How does this fit
with us?
We could say - how
are we qualified to bring offerings to YHWH?
First let me say that
offerings are not just gifts of money... but our offerings we give unto YHWH
are our time and talents and efforts and focus and perservance and the way we
love others.
Are our hearts
“stirred” to do it?
Do we have a passion
that - this is our focus and we are intensly following hard after him?
Do we walk in
chochmah / wisdom??
Is the Ruach HaKodesh
(Holy Spirit) in us bring chochmah and stirring up our hearts??
~
Sh’mot 36:6 - Moshe had to STOP them from continuing to give!!
Image if that was the
probelm today!
Think how excited and
how focused they must have been!!
*
Sh’mot 36:8 begins the particulars of the things in the mishkan
/tabernacle.
and this goes
through...Sh’mot 39:42-43...
We don’t know how
long this took...
One estimation says
6-8 months, and another thought 5 months.
One interesting idea
I found ....
~~
According to the
Mishnah...
“Hundreds of years
before it was built, the Mishkan was already in the works.
In fact, on his way
down to Egypt, Jacob planted acacia trees, instructing his sons that thier
descendants should take the wood with them when they leave. That way they would have the right materials
on had when the command would come to build a Tabernacle.”
Now i can’t tell you if it is true or not - but it is
interesting!
~
The tabernacle
contained slightly more than:
1 ton of gold
3.75 tons of sliver,
and
2.5 tons of bronze.
More silver was used
indicating the value of redemption (symbolism of silver.”
The tabernacle
probably weighted in excess of - 10 tons.
However, there were
between 32,000 and 75,000 adults male Levites.
Thus each man would have had to carry less than a pound. One ton of gold is worth $10 million
~~
And to go along with
our B’re’shiyt teaching.... on Sheliyshiy = third...
There were 3 metals used in the
Tabernacle
gold,
silver, and brass
gold
= YHWH
silver
= redemption
brass
= sin
There were 3 coverings on the tabernacle
Rams’
skins dyed red
badgers’
skins
woven
goats hair
There were three divisions
Outer
Court
Holy
Place
Most
Holy Place
There were 3 entry ways into the
tabernacle:
the
gate
the
door
the
vail
There were 3 colors used in the
tabernacle:
blue
purple
scarlet
There were 3 uses of oil in worship in
the tabernacle:
Oil
for light
spices
for anointing oil
sweet
incense
~~~~
Sh’mot 39:42-43 p 80
Each piece was built /made - as we see in
Sh’mot 39:1-31
and throughout this section of Scripture...
... “as YHWH commanded Moshe.”
**
(In this spot or nearby i talked about
something close to this:....
Throughout Sh’mot 39 - the Word makes it
clear... that they built all these things....
“as
YHWH commanded Moshe.”
And can’t you see by the end of chapter 39..
Moshe is inspecting... and there the main builders would have stood and said to
themselves...
Do you think he likes it? Is it going to pass?? he sort of rolled his eyes or he sighed
loudly... are we in trouble...
b/c they would have known... the screwed up
at the Golden calf and they could have died....
and now here was another chance - they couldn’t mess this up.
Now keep in mind... they would have had
reminders.... they probably were all
bald!
What?
Yeps bald - b/c that is one of the side
effects for consuming gold... remember they
had to grind up the calf and dump it in water and drink it.
so they’ve been building these tabernacle
parts for roughly the guess is about 6 months.... bald, watching each other’s hair grow
in... a constant reminder of the big
mess they made.
Sh’mot 39:43
p 80
~ Imagine this...
finally after all this hard work....
there they stood
waiting....
and Moshe approved
it. whew!!!
And then in Sh’mot
40 YHWH starts giving Moshe the
instructions to set it up!
So Moshe did... Sh’mot 40:16 “So Moshe did: according to allthat YHWH had
commmanded him, so did he.”
What a joy that must
have been!!
Do you think they
realized that YHWH could have and maybe “should” have killed them for their
disobedience...??
Do you think they
delighted in their salvation?
It was salvation
- and what saved them was this temporary
priesthood /tabernacle system...
They were given a
second chance to be YHWH’s people....
and they gave and
gave until Moshe had to tell them to stop.
Then they worked and
worked... following directions explicitly ...
Maybe they - this
particular generation had at least temporairly learned that YHWH expects things
done HIS way. ...?...
So they must have
been delighted to set up the tabernacle...
I think they must
have been meticulous about the building and very very careful about the setting
it up.... this was the tabernacle for
YHWH to dwell among them...
Do we take care of
our temples (our bodies) like this today?
And what was
there?....
Sh’mot 40:34-38 p 80
The cloud - the Presence
of YHWH was so heavy that Moshe couldn’t even enter the Tabernacle!
What is that
CLOUD ?...
1.
first appeared at Red Sea crossing Sh’mot 13:20 - 14:25
2.
Appeared before the people at Mount
Sinai. Sh’mot 19:9-20
3.
Descended upon tabernacle and continued to
guide Isra’elites
-Sh’mot
40:34-38; 9:15-23. 10:33=36
4.
Filled Temple of solomon -I Kings 8:10-13 and
II Chronicles 5:14
5. Spoken of in Psalms 99:7 and 105: 38-39
6. Departed by the time of Babylonian captivity
(586 BCE)
7. No indication of appearance during second
temple period.
8. Appeared at Y’shua’s transfiguration in Matt
17:5, Luke 9:34-36
9.
Will appear at Y’shua’s return Luke 21:25-28
10.
Will reappear in the “last days” (Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 4:2-6)
11.
In permanent resides during millennium
( Rev 21:23)
~~
Let’s look in the B’rit Chadashah...
2 Corinthians 5:1-5
p 867
This is talking about the temple in the
RE-newed covenant of the Melchizedek Priesthood...
Ivrim /Hebrews 9:1-10
p 819
There is a distinction made between a
heavenly tent and an earthly tent, and between what was ‘built by man’ and what
is ‘not part of this creation’
Ivrim 9:1-10
describes the earthly tabernacle, or “tent of meeting” as a place into which
the priests would go to offer sacrifices for the sins of the people.
Then look at
Ivrim 9:11
Who is the better Cohen HaGadol (High
Priest)??
And it is His blood that is offered... HE is
made like the halves of the animals he as the “burning lamp” walked between in
B’re’shiyt 15 - when the Covenant of Promise was made and Y’shua walked between
the halves with the “smoking furnace” / YHWH ... instead of Avraham.
Y’shua covenanted right there in B’re’shiyt
15 that man would not have to die, but HE would be the one who died if man
broke the covenant!
So it is HIS blood that saves us... His blood
that re-established the Covenant of Promise!
~
Now you really need to understand this... b/c
christianity will tell you that it is about “the blood shed on the “cross”...
and that the blood of animals could temporarily cleanse worshipers of the guilt
of sin.”
But it is not about the levitical priesthood
not working....
It is about the Covenant of Promise in B’re’shiyt
15 p
18
and WHO covenanted WHAT.
B’re’shiyt 15: 17
p 18
Y’shua HAD to die...b/c HE walked between the
animal halves instead of Avraham! He
promised then - way back in - B’re’shiyt 15, that if man broke the Covenant -
that HE - Y’shua would be the one to die!!
THAT IS THE FOCUS!!
It is all about Mashiach ... all about
Y’shua.
He promised in B’re’shiyt 15.... and He
fulfilled it...
Yisra’el should have been killed when they
broke the Covenant or promise... but that was not the agreement made...
The one who is represented of by so many
things in THREE...
....it was HIM who agreed.
...It was HIM who promised to be our
“instead-of” - “replacement”....
... IT
was HIS blood that cleanses us and makes us whole.
It’s all about Y’shua’s blood - nobody else’s
would have counted.
~~
I’d like to read something from Mike
Clayton...
“So
what have we learned from these 16 chapters of the Tabernacle?
We’ve learned that we must have a model to go
by....
We’ve learned that we can not come up with
our own model...
-different days and different diets and
expect Him to show up.
We must have a pattern, and that pattern in
Scripture is clear.
It takes time, effort and giving of ourselves
to be a Tabernacle worthy of His presence.
We must have authority: Not only must we submit to His authority, but
also to those on earth He has chosen to lead us.
We must leave our opinions at the door: His way of doing things is not open for our
interpretation.
We must expect the unexpected: The day we have it all figured out of how
everything is going to happen will be the day
nothing happens. Well, it will
still happen, but we will miss it because we may be looking the wrong
direction
We need to keep our poles in the Ark and our
tent pegs shallow:
Remember those poles which were to be left in
the Ark? Remember that the tent pgs were
only to be half in the ground and half out of the ground?
The purpose was to be a reminder that this
Tabernacle is not to stay in one place and become a museum.
It was to be a guide to take the people home.
And guess what, HE still is!!
So how are you keeping your temple??
Because it is ALL about Y’shua HaMashaich -
the one who agreed in a covenant - so we wouldn’t have to die.... he would take our place.
Praise YHWH
and AMEIN.
